My husband and I had been looking for an independent living facility to move our elderly parents closer to us. We visited Watercrest at Mansfield and were immediately impressed by the warmness and caring staff as we toured the facility. The staff seemed to know the name of every resident that we passed and took a moment to see how they were doing. We personally spoke with a number of the residents and they all told us how they loved living there and were grateful for the new friendships and community support they gained. The Executive Director, Brooke, has gone above and beyond to communicate with all of us in answering all of our questions or concerns. We are looking forward to getting our parents moved and settled at Watercrest, so they can relax and enjoy this stage of their lives. If you are looking for an independent living facility for you or your loved ones, I would highly recommend that you consider Watercrest.

I toured Watercrest at Mansfield twice, and the first time I toured it was with the activity director, and she was great. The second time my daughter went with me and Stephanie showed us around, and she was great, too. It was a good experience. I think they want me. They keep trying to reach me, but I've been too busy to get back in touch with them, to let them know that I'm still looking. It's a nice place. It's worth it. It's just I don't know if I can afford it. There were people playing cards at a table. I spoke to them and they spoke back to me. We passed the table where there were some puzzles that had been partially put together. She explained that they just work on it whenever they feel like it. She showed me the ones on the walls that they had done, and I thought that was pretty cool. The second tour with my daughter Stephanie treated us to lunch, so that was nice. We each had a hamburger and fries. I saw the fitness center, the beauty salon, the theater room, and the pool. She showed me everything that they had. The pool was one of the things I really liked. They had water aerobic classes. I was impressed with the facility. Any one of the apartments that she showed me would have been fine if I could afford it. I think she will work with me and try to help me get in there if that's where I decide to go. They have one- and two-bedroom apartments, and they have them in different sizes, from small, medium to large as far as square feet go. You can get a small one-bedroom, a small two-bedroom, a large one-bedroom, or a large two-bedroom. I like that they have garages and storage rooms. The hamburger we had was good. I remember commenting to Stephanie after I tasted the hamburger that it reminded me of an old hole in the wall hamburger joint. It was like a good old homemade hamburger. Even though the price is out of my range, it's not their fault. I just don't have enough money. I don't think their price is too high for what they're offering, because I've toured other facilities that don't charge as much, but they're not as nice.

We looked at Watercrest at Mansfield. It's very organized and very clean. It looked like it would work if my brother decided to go there. I didn't really have anything negative to say. It's independent, but they give a small monthly allowance for food. The apartments were bigger than what we thought they were going to be. They're a very nice size. The staff was very friendly and outgoing. They answered our questions well. With regards to activities, there were a few people in the exercise room. But as far as my brother goes, he is not into crafts or puzzles. He wants to be able to find other vets and to be able to sit around and talk to them. They have a movie room, and they also have a swimming pool, but he wouldn't get into that.

They have been outstanding in dealing with my mother. Watercrest is the perfect place for my mother. She can age in place and receive excellent care regardless of the segment she is in.
