Relative was transferred here for rehabilitation, and in less than 24 hours another family member went for a visit and found them unresponsive and had to search for help! Relative passed away. 0/10 would not reccommend.

If I could rate this place a zero I could It is horrible. They do NOT disclose there is a doctor but they only come in twice a week. So if you check in there if it’s not close to either day you will wait days to see one. The night “nurse” could not speak English very well at all. With their studder it was even harder. The night time doctor on call well that is a number they call which connects them to a teladoc who then calls another doctor who then calls the nursing home. They left my mother in soiled pants for over 12 hrs. One of the workers at night peaked in my mom’s room (the second night there) and said oh I’m not dealing with her tonight. I called for an ambulance to take my mom right back to the ER and they were trying to discourage me from taking her. DO NOT GO THERE FOR ANY REASON!

My dad was transitioned from the hospital to The Willows of Okemos after suffering a massive heart attack. From the first day until day 30 when he went home, the staff was exceptional. My dad is pretty reserved on handing out kudos, but he raved about his stay. He enjoyed the scheduled activities and especially the food. He had almost no appetite when he arrived and was soon eating three meals a day and gained the weight back he needed to help him in his recovery. While visiting hours were limited due to COVID restrictions, we felt confident that he was in good hands when we were unable to be there with him. When we returned each day he had a story to tell from the night before and knew the staff and many residents by name. That goes a very long way in his mental health having a sense of community away from home. Thank you to the great team at The Willows for being so professional and kind and for going out of your way to make his stay a memorable one. He received great rehab and was strong enough to walk out of there today!
