At Brookdale Meridian, we’re here to handle the cooking, cleaning, and housekeeping so you can spend your time socializing, unwinding, and most importantly, having fun! Our assisted living community in Haslett, Michigan, is located just 20 minutes outside of Lansing. And we’re just a car ride away from Nancy More Park, Central Park South, Meridian Mall and area restaurants.
With assisted living, we’re here to help you manage medications, daily living activities like dressing and bathing and coordinate with outside health providers. We’ll also handle your laundry and housekeeping so that you have more time to focus on living an active and fulfilling life. This includes everything from ice cream socials to brain-boosting trivia events, enjoying a cup of tea in our fireside living room, or attending a weekly Bible study. You’ll also love our group outings to local restaurants and shops, as well as nearby attractions like the Abrams Planetarium or W.J. Beal Botanical Garden, attending a performance of the Lansing Symphony Orchestra or cheering on the Lansing Lugnuts Minor League Baseball team.
Our apartments come in multiple floor plans, each fully customizable to your individual style. When we needed help caring for my grandma, we chose Brookdale Meridian Memory Care. I was nervous about the transition, but they made it as seamless as possible. From day one, everyone was welcoming and supportive. The facility was clean and festively decorated. I was impressed most by the sense of community Brookdale creates. The caregivers are hardworking and compassionate. They were very interactive and accommodating to our family. The resident care coordinator is experienced and genuinely cares for all her residents. She was attentive, ensured my grandma had everything she needed, and was an excellent resource for our family when times were hard. I was also impressed with the various activities and social events available for residents. The activities coordinator is encouraging and offered things for me to do with my grandma even when activities were not scheduled. The culture here is exactly what you would want for your loved ones, even maintenance goes out of their way to help.
Read moreOur tour at Brookdale Meridian was good. There were just a couple of things that I didn't think would be a good fit for my dad. It was a bit of an older facility. And I didn’t care for the more communal shower situation. He would prefer to have a private shower.

Brookdale Meridian is a great place for my father. It's one good place that I might want to consider for him. It's a place where he can wander around and they have places that are heavily guarded so none of the patients will escape if they have dementia or any type of mental disability. The staff were very informative and helped me with a lot of things. When I took a tour, they showed me a lot of the activities that I do with my father, and that's why it's really good for his care. They have a salon and a courtyard. It's very clean. In terms of location, it's near restaurants.
