Welcome to Medlock Gardens Assisted Living, an Assisted Living community located in Decatur, Georgia. Here we find medlock gardens senior living, often referred to as the Castle on the hillside . You will enjoy the benefits of our newly remodeled residence. Our home-like setting provides a great atmosphere for promoting independence and individuality. We welcome short term respite as well as long-term stays. Have fun with us by participating in our adult day care program. Home health, and rehabilitation services are welcome on an outpatient basis. We provide monthly dental visits and bi-monthly podiatric services right here on campus, as well as transportation to local medical appointments. Come and enjoy the sunroom, the outside patios, walking trail and porches. Small pets are welcome, and family and friends are encouraged to visit anytime. With its quaint and cozy setting, medlock gardens features a three level floor plan with apartments on the first two levels, and a full basement downstairs ideal for resident activities, physical therapy/home health services, exercise classes, and much more. The back of the property includes a nice wooded area walking trail ideal for nature strolls and bird watching. Amenities medlock gardens offers a registered nurse or a licensed practical nurse monday through saturday as well as a visiting geriatric nurse practitioner. . The in-house dental and psychological services are available on an as-needed schedule. We have a beautician and cosmetologist, and many wonderful volunteers with years of service who come and entertain through music, crafts, etc. We offer five levels of care to serve you. Three nutritious meals are served everyday in our dining room restaurant-style. Our residents and family members have input into the menu that is prepared by a registered dietician. We also offer sugar-free desserts, snacks between meals, fresh fruit, and sandwiches daily. We encourage family and friends to celebrate with us during our highlighted events: christmas and thanksgiving lunch, july 4th extravaganza, and memorial day picnic, resident outings, and so much moreour staff provides housekeeping and laundry two times weekly. Maintenance of building and grounds is also included.

My experience with Medlock Gardens Senior Living has been wonderful. The entire staff has provided our loved one and our family with excellent service. From my initial visit and tour to the present, the staff has been warm and inviting. They consistently provide a welcoming atmosphere. In addition, the administrative team is very informative and helped to make our loved one's move in experience very comfortable. The activities provided to the residents are very creative and engaging and our loved one enjoys taking part in these. If you are considering a senior living facility, I highly recommend Medlock Gardens Senior Living in Decatur, GA.

My Mom is 101 and has been in the facility for almost 2 years. She's still fisty and the aids love her and stop by often. They are always available to step in when issues of health arise. Her apartment unit is quite large and is maintained well with a balcony, full closet and plenty of room for her furniture and bed. The family visits when we are able with her daughter stopping over throughout the week. The monitoring of guests is managed well and secure. The value for the fee is outstanding and my wife and I recommend it highly. We are grateful that we found Medlock Gardens and Mom is happy there.

Medlock Gardens was very nice. I met with the business manager there, Deidre. When I arrived, all the staff was very friendly and very welcoming. The facility was very pretty. It was fresh and clean. It didn't have any odors or anything. It was well-kept. The young lady that assisted me on the tour was very patient. She was very resourceful. She had a wealth of information. She described and showed me everything. I didn't have an opportunity to try the food, but they did invite me back at a later date when I had more time if I wanted to. The dining area looked very nice. The residents that I did see were of varying ages, but they looked happy from what I could see. Dinner and a Movie is one of the recreational activities when I did the tour, so I thought that was very nice. It was very intimate and inviting. It had a nice, homey feel.

We chose Medlock Gardens for my brother because we like their welcoming attitude. They just had a wonderful attitude, the place had a nice feel about it, and it seemed like they were very caring and supportive, and thoughtful. They have people who come in to do hair and stuff like that, it's a small facility. So it's like you're going to an apartment house, and everybody has either a balcony or an outside area that they can go sit in from their rooms. There's a little hidden garden in the back they can go to, it's very nice.

We love that every time we come to visit we can see the resident's in the activity room having fun - it really is a full of live type of environment. The event person [name removed] is amazing and the management and director [name removed] is very helpful and informative and helped make the move in process easy. This community gave us a great first impression. We really love how they have a doctor on call - that is huge, and they also have this 2 hour check in they do with every single residents.
