A few months ago I scheduled a tour a tour with Connie of the Edgewater Facilities. I was most impressed with the accommodations, facilities and services. I contemplated to sign up and get on the list. The only reason I did not is because my friends are all in Ames and I instead signed up for a local Independent Living Community with similar facilities, services and amenities. Otherwise I wouldn’t have hesitated at all to sign up. Overall, I was most impressed what Edgewater has to offer.
Read moreIn their contract, it says provide balance meals...that was years ago. Now for $450 a month, residents can only have 1 meal a day from a buffet line. Even if they want only a cup of soup..it is still $15 a meal. I think familys of residents need to group together to express our concern.
Sadly understaffed, as is the case everywhere. Wish I could be there 24/7 to assist when needed.
