The staff and facilities have exceeded our expectations!! We love joining my FIL for dinner in the restaurant, every meal we’ve had has been good! He loves his “bungalow”!

My mother''s stay at Wellmore following a hospitalization that left her weak and with balance issues was nothing short of exceptional. The rehabilitation area was where she spent her recovery period, engaging in extensive physical and occupational therapy that proved to be incredibly beneficial. The therapists skillfully helped her transition from using a walker to a cane, and now she’s walking unassisted for the most part. We were thrilled when she was able to discharge back home. Throughout her stay, we found the staff to be friendly, caring, and exceptionally communicative, keeping us informed and involved in her care process. There was a range of activities available for her to participate in. Moreover, the food offerings were diverse and delicious, with my mother often praising the quality of the meals, especially highlighting that she had the best fish she’s ever tasted there. The gated community setting, with its beautiful landscaping, safety features, intercoms, and a helpful front desk, added a layer of security and peace of mind for both us and my mother. We also took note of the lovely independent apartments, which we are now considering for her future needs. Our experience with Wellmore was truly positive, marked by excellent care, effective communication, and a nurturing environment that not only aided in her physical recovery but also provided a delightful stay. We are deeply grateful to the staff and would highly recommend Wellmore to anyone in need of rehabilitation services or considering a comfortable and secure living arrangement for their loved ones.

My father lived at Wellmore for 4+ years, first in assisted living and then in skilled nursing. He was well taking care of in both settings. The staff was wonderful and easy accessible when I had questions or concerns. During his last year in Skilled Nursing I especially want to thank the CNAs, Sarah and Laura and KD the nurse. They really cared for him and me, his daughter.

If you love your loved ones, never send them to this clownshow. Management is petulant, incompetent, and couldn''t care less about being professional (or even decent) people. $8k+ a month (it''s always going up) for your relatives to be neglected and gossipped about among staff. The place even has a reputation among nursing homes as being run exceptionally poorly.

If you have a loved one in this facility beware. Mixed meds or no meds given out several times to my parents. I believe the staff is about 80% contract employees who don''t really care too much. Actually those who are not contract employees seem to not care too much. I would never never leave a loved one alone at well more of Lexington. That attitude comes from the top. The management in Charlotte is non-responsive as is the executive director in Lexington. Be sure to ask when they''re next price increase is going into effect because when my parents moved in, 3 months later they were hit with a 15% increase. The whole place is a mess.
