My mother has lived in the Memory Care unit for the past couple of years and she has been happy and content which makes me feel the same. There have been management changes but everyone has continued to be helpful and easy to work with. Cindy up front is wonderful!! They take groups out for different trips to resturants, the fair, the museum and other destinations. I enjoy seeing mom''s picture when it is posted on the Spring Oak Facebook page. The area around the facility is quiet and the grounds are kept manicured and clean. Overall, I know my mother is safe and taken care of and that gives me a great peace of mind.

I'm a resident of English Meadows Lexington Campus. It's very clean. The meals are great. My room is really nice, but it's very expensive. Another thing is that they have trouble getting the medications correct. As far as appliances go, nothing is included except a refrigerator, and that's it. But they do your laundry for you, they clean for you, and they do everything else for you. It was an easy move, and it didn't take much. They're not huge, so this doesn't take a lot of furniture. The staff are wonderful. They have plenty of activities. There's bingo, painting, crafts, and cards. They have a covered porch where people like to sit, and another patio where they do barbecues, but no pool.

We went to tour the English Meadows Lexington Campus. It was beautiful. It was very, very nice. The only reason we didn't choose that was, the cost was a little higher and it was farther away from me. We only met the girl that took us on the tour, and she was wonderful. They had a salon and an activities director. It was convenient to a hospital, shopping malls, and restaurants.

When you walk in English Meadows Lexington Campus, the appearance is lovely. However, the rooms were incredibly small. They didn't have raised toilets there. They had standard toilets for the elderly, which blew my mind. They had shared bathrooms. Even for respite care, it would not probably work for my mother. The facility was beautiful. It's seriously pretty, new, sparkly, and shiny. The room was so small that we could not have even gotten my mother's dresser, little twin sized bed, and her chair in it. The staff was very kind, very professional, and very polished as far as the words they used, but the tour left a little bit of questions. They told us about the common areas, but they did not show us the common areas (nor did they offer to show us any of the common areas). We saw the cafeteria, and we obviously saw the entrance area. The room would not have worked at all for my mother because of the standard toilets, and they couldn't offer any fixes for that necessarily. The nurse was lovely. I love the nurse. When we toured throughout the facility, we saw very few staff. Getting in and out of there is treacherous. Where it is positioned on the road is a dangerous situation. The traffic getting in and out was a nightmare when we came out of there at 4:30. My mother likes specific things when it comes to her food, and they were not readily excited about providing those.
