Visited to give residents physical therapy. The residents and facility are always clean. The staff is very caring and attention.
Super friendly staff!!!

It's a small, warm assisted living facility. There probably are some places that are superior, but they'll be much larger and more expensive. Every time I go to see my loved one, her apartment looks squared away, and she herself looks like she has been well cared for. I would like to see housekeeping of the induvial apartments be better. Things are neat, but not necessarily the cleanest.

Mom moved to Morningside in April 2017. Her Doctor told her that her medical condition had come to a point where she needed assistance. Mom looked at me and said, “Let’s go look at places!” We visited assisted living facilities within a 30 mile radius of Columbia and sat down to compare notes. Mom said, “I like number two”. Number two was Morningside of Lexington. The first impression sealed the deal for Mom. We were greeted at the door by a warm and welcoming community that included staff members and residents. We were shown four types of rooms and all the amenities. No other facility matched the warmth and hospitality of Morningside. Mom loves the food and looks forward to the comradery at her dining table. When we take her out or stop by for a visit, she checks her watch to make sure she is not late for a meal! The staff keep her room clean; her clothes washed, folded and returned in a timely manner; and she enjoys having visitors. The medical staff ensures that her medications are properly administered and immediately notifies her physician at the first sign of a health change. The activities program keeps Mom engaged and she sometimes tells me that she has to go to her room to rest because she has been so busy. She participates in playing the bells, singing, games, costume parties, arts and crafts, and exercise classes along with other activities. Mom has always wanted to be involved. Prior to coming to Morningside, she was active in her Church Ladies Auxiliary, Sunday School Class secretary/treasurer and Keenagers Club. She sent cards and gifts to sick members on behalf of the entire Church and arranged to deliver food to families when there was a death. The folks at Morningside ask Mom’s opinion and input about her experiences at the facility. This makes her feel needed, useful, and delighted to be a part of the family. Her positive outlook has also contributed to her successful experience. The day Mom was moving to Morningside she said, “I just hope there is someone there who needs my help!”
Read moreI am so pleased to have heard about Legacy Of Lexigton. This place is so nice and gives me a good peace of mind to know my mom would be taking care of properly. The staff was amazing on the tour and I’m really concerning taking this step. Thank you all!
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. It felt more like a home environment that mom could live in instead of a facility. A lot of the ladies that live there told me "she would love it here". Definitely my top pick when its time to transition mom.
