After repeatedly expressing my discomfort to the Executive Director, Jeff Bardo, regarding speaking or being alone in the same room with the Area Sales Director, Sean Barrett, my concerns were consistently disregarded. On multiple occasions, Jeff Bardo observed Sean''s unprofessional behavior towards me, acknowledging its concern, yet no corrective actions were taken. In early October, I was summoned to Jeff Bardo''s office, where Sean, upset over not receiving credit for my completed work, began yelling at me when it was my turn to speak. Despite my request for him not to interrupt, he escalated his behavior, and Jeff, as the witness, remained silent and took no action to intervene. Feeling unsafe alone in an office with two men, one aggressively yelling and the other passively observing, I stood up, expressing my refusal to tolerate such unprofessional treatment, and excused myself from the meeting. A week later, Waterstone On Augusta terminated my employment, citing ''insubordination'' due to leaving a meeting in which I felt unsafe. It''s crucial to note that I had no prior write-ups or disciplinary actions, and the preceding week, I received a positive employee review score of 95/100. This incident was the final episode in a series of troubling experiences throughout my time at the company. I share this not to tarnish reputations, but to recount my encounters, hoping to prevent others from facing similar situations. Despite the exceptional residents and family members, no one should have to endure a workplace where feeling unsafe becomes a legitimate concern.
