Nothing but amazing things to say about Waterford Grand. My mom had a severe head injury and wasn''t able to go home but needed to leave the hospital. Lots of moving parts and emotions for myself and family and the need to find and have a spot for my mom in a short amount of time in Assisted Living/Respite care seemed daunting. Apryl and Tonya and their team were truly amazing. Every single person that my mom had any interactions with were so welcoming and inviting and made her feel at home. I would love to thank everyone by name but don''t want to miss anyone so to the entire Waterford Grand team THANK YOU SO MUCH for taking such good care of my mom. The fellow residents led by Barbara were also incredibly welcoming so much so that now my mom has returned home she will be going back to see her new friends. So much to do, activities (BINGO Night was fun, our family played) wonderful peaceful setting and lots of great food to choose from. If the time for assisted comes again one day we know where we will be going back to. 5 star people at Waterford makes all the difference. Everyone was also so good to my moms little dog, I think Lilli misses all the people and action. At such a tough time for us all Waterford made things easy and gave my mom a truly special place to take her time to recover. THANKS AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

THIS REVIEW WILL CONTINUE TO BE REPOSTED WEEKLY AS IT HAS BEEN REPEATEDLY REMOVED WITHOUT AUTHORIZATION FROM THE WRITER. Note to Executive Director Tonya Hodges and all members of Cascade Living Management Group, you do not under any circumstances have permission by me to remove this review now or ever. (The review has been taken down twice prior to 2/22. The public deserves the truth, and here it is. The information shared was exchanged from credible eyewitnesses and is not slanderous as all accounts are true. Waterford Grand touts itself as one of Eugene''s premier senior living facilities. However, the memory care at 600 Waterford Way has received an astounding number of complaints made by family and employees to the state of Oregon APS for allegations of elder abuse. However, many complaints never officially left the building. Several of the allegations from late 2023/early 2024 were covered up by the current administration at the facility were eventually said to have been unreported. Some of the most disturbing of which involve a young caregiver (barely 20) years old or thereabouts who had been witnessed by multiple fellow staff to have forcibly showered a woman causing her to fall and suffer bone injury. The same caregiver also was found to have showered an additional resident who came out of the room covered in bruises on both arms immediately afterwards. A third incident was witnessed by a med tech and at least one other caregiver where a dying resident who was on hospice was quickly woken out of bed and force fed a meal by this young staff member while the staff member was off duty following a company Christmas Party where the resident was actively declining on comfort care measures via her hospice care plan directives. A facility RN, a resident care coordinator, and the executive director (see above) were all aware of this and it was alleged by more than one person that they issues were not disclosed to the appropriate personnel and that the issues were dealt with in house. This administrative style is in direct state violation and basically places the facility out of compliance with Oregon state reporting and documentation procedures. The fact that this review has been removed by Cascade for marketing purposes is abhorrent. As of mid February, the young woman in question above was reported by staff to have been still working at Waterford. The blatant disregard for human life and elder well being would put this at the top of the list for the top 5 worst long term care facilities in Eugene. The majority of executive leadership here came from areas well outside the Pacific Northwest (midwest and deep south), where Oregon values of accountability and integrity are apparently not always shared. Stand together Eugene in the fight against abuse and refuse to patronize Waterford Grand. Let''s show our northwest pride in our respect for elders and their families. Stand up for what is right! This is every family''s worst nightmare. ZERO stars. Someone should take this place to KEZI 9 news.
Read moreIt's a beautiful facility and they allowed my moms dog which was huge to her. We picked it because it wasn't a sterile environment. We didn't want her to think she was in an institution, but rather a nice apartment.
