Great community - Not too large so the staff are able to do a great job. Great food and high quality people.
The manager is either not fond of colored people or is discriminatory off the bat.. because talking to her was like getting an apology from a bully; forced and full of attitude.
Recent changes in ownership and management. Facility quarantined. Residents and family not notified of ongoing situation or plan. Very frustrating.

I toured River Run Place. I like the place. It just wasn't quite what my uncle needed. The person we worked with was very knowledgeable and very helpful, even though we knew fairly quickly that it wasn't going to be the right place. She worked with me to find other places that might work out. The facility was very nice. The residents looked happy. It always looked like they had stuff to do. We're pretty happy there. I saw the smaller rooms, but the layout looked sufficient. They don't have a lot of rooms, but there's a studio apartment. They had refrigerators and sinks for the residents, which was nice.

I am choosing River Run Place for my mom. It was a nice place and it's small. The people seemed nice, and it was well-staffed. The staff who gave me the tour did a good job. They were very thorough, friendly, and helpful. The private rooms were clean and spacious. The dining area was just the regular chairs and tables. They would do barbecues, games, bingo, and trips.
