Great customer service is always a plus 😃
For the short time I was there to visit a resident it was a pleasant facility to be in. It was very clean well-kept. All of the staff were dress professionally and had professional behavior. The rooms for the rehab area were quite large and accommodating for the residents.

My parent did not feel safe or that the care at this facility was managed well. Most of the nursing staff was kind, caring and attentive but there are care takers that assumed the patient was old and not aware. This was not the case in that my parent was managing medication, bills and grocery list each week and this was documented by a health provider that assesses needs. To the best I could tell the management neglected the needs of the patients by not addressing the care staff, allowing food service to operate poorly with delivery of cold food and not following up with patient grievances. Several times my parent was brushed off as being dramatic. These so-called dramatic episodes ended with severe asthma attach, blood clots in the legs with clot in the lungs to follow. After a trip to the hospital medication of which has been prescribed for over twenty years was increased in dosage for four days with normal dosage to continue day five. Somehow the medication was stopped of which almost resulted in a second trip to the hospital. A blood clot in the lungs created chest pain and the emergency room was able to treat the condition but was unaware of the original treatment for the legs that started three days prior. Grievances did not get addressed in that my parent needed pain medication (Tylenol) for an injury. On several occasions the request was not granted until 3 – 5 hours later. There was need to have regular bed changes of which after requesting did not happen for up to four hours. Areas of improvement: Attention to the patients care plan, providing extra effort to request, treating patients with respect regardless of awareness and serving hot food.

I arrived in spring of 2022. First off, The Villa gets top marks for cleanliness. Secondly, the nurses are all highly competent, which may be a minimum requirement but they are kind and patient as well. You would hope compassion would be a minimum requirement but if you spend any time in this type of facility you know how rare it can be. As one will, you have more contact with CNAs, personally I think it is unfair to expect 100% of them to be Mother Theresa. 4/5 of them are though. They have always been happy to take a minute for some pleasant conversation when they bring a food tray or take vitals and have never acted like they are running behind because of me. It can be the little things that make a day go better. I know that if when they are in taking blood pressure and noticed my water bottle is low when they are done with their rounds they will come back and fill it with ice water without my needing to hit the call button. Sometimes a little consideration really goes along way toward comfort. Third and these are not in order of importance, the therapy department has been excellent. That bears repeating because I arrived unable to walk but quickly developed enough faith in their expertise to work their program to learn to walk again. The therapy department is excellent. I am one that is ready every day and will take all the therapy I can get but I know some of the residents have days when they don’t feel like getting out of bed and these good people will push to get their charges to put the required effort in. Last, the grounds are absolutely beautiful. Room views vary, But most look out on grass and trees. There is a fine wheelchair path(some call it a sidewalk) around the facility. For being right in Middleton proper it is a quiet and peaceful place with large grassy areas and giant trees.
