I was a patient at this facility, and I would like to give an update for this insanity based on my experiences this is the last Friday of the year 2023 if you or a loved one, I’m considering being a patient at this facility here are some things to consider based on my experiences I was in the facility from November 20 23 until December 8, 2023 a step on the overall are pretty good the problem wise with the administration OK so Silletti after many years of still having problems the problem still continue I was a valuated for medical treatment by a doctor that I had never been visited by as told by my case manager that this is the practice that doctors do not personally visit the patient but write orders based on LVN evaluation’s. I was transferred to this Silletti from a hospital after having a heart surgery and I had low blood pressure and yet the doctor prescribed a blood pressure pill for me without personally visiting me and checking my blood pressure. I was asked to sign financial responsibility papers for this b facility at least one week after going into the facility.

We chose The Village Assisted Living for my dad because of the location. We had heard a lot of good things about it. They were really good about helping us when we needed advice and everything else. We really like them. It was very inviting and very welcoming, and I really just loved the staff that I met there. They do exercises. They have puzzles and discussion groups. They have something different going on every day. There is a variety of activities for the mind, body, and health. I wish they had more of some type of church service or something for spiritual well-being because a lot of people can't get out or don't have somebody to take them to church. I would suggest a few more options for activities later in the day. They do everything in the morning. I understand that people get tired, but just a little more optional stuff in the afternoons. They could just have a little bit more than they have.

The Village Assisted Living was a little depressing and more institutionalized. I wouldn't want to live there. The salesperson was very nice, but the young ladies in the front of the office were not kind. They didn't have a smile on their face. I wouldn't want to have to deal with them every day. The rooms looked very clean, but it was depressing in there. There wasn't enough light. The hallways were on the dark side. It was more like being in a hospital, not a home. The room that they were going to offer my parents, which cost the same as the other place, was very clean, but it was facing the parking lot and as I said, it was like being in a hospital. We didn't want that for our parents. The only one that was nice was the salesperson. The girls in the front do not know how to greet people. There wasn't even a "hello" or anything. They just looked at you like, "What do you want?" That's not a good sign. The place was clean and didn't smell. I have nothing negative to say about their cleanliness.

The village unfortunately is plagued by a bad administrative team. Even at the advice of their medical director, the head of nursing who now just got her job and also the administrator of whom she works with, disregard medical director advice on testing and will not allow any new services into the organization. It''s frustrating when administrators don''t listen to the medical doctors that have been appointed as medical directors, because of their credentials and make decisions against their recommendations because patient care is on the line. It''s really unfortunate that Deanna and her administrator disregard the advice of their medical director at the cost of the patient care.

My grandmother stayed here for a couple of weeks. The staff was never forthcoming with information about her, and when they were decided to lie blatantly to our faces. They claimed she was walking herself to the bathroom, but upon taking her home we discovered that she could not in fact walk without assistance. The doctor continually reassured her that she was good to go home, and yet this is very obviously not the case. If you have any choice in the matter at all, please keep your loved ones away from the shady and outright scummy business practices of The Village. Every single person that works here should feel ashamed for ever having their name associated with this place.
