Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care Residence

Arbor Oaks Terrace in Newberg, Oregon is a premier senior living facility offering a wide variety of senior care and memory care services. The facility, located in Yamhill County, is home to assisted living, independent living, and memory care living facilities, where residents can receive round-the-clock care while they feel at home. Frontier Management operates Arbor Oaks senior living and the facility offers the same high-quality residential care as the company’s other care centers.
When a person applies to Arbor Oaks Terrace, the facility’s staff members work with them to understand their individual needs. Each resident receives tailored care, thanks to the highly-trained staff members and their excellent communication with residents and families. A care advisor reviews each person’s needs to place them in the right living community. Residents can request assistance from a nursing aide twenty-four hours a day as part of their long-term care services. The staff pride themselves on their caring nature and deliver nurturing attention residents during each interaction.
Although the Arbor Oaks senior living community offers excellent assisted living services, independent living programs, and residential care, their memory care community is another major draw for residents. As a senior care authority, Arbor Oaks Terrace offers exceptional Alzheimer’s care for residents with all stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Each memory care nursing aide is specially trained to work with Alzheimer’s patients, and they do not deliver substandard care. They work closely with the Alzheimer’s Association to learn about upcoming treatments and advancements in Alzheimer’s care, letting them care for memory care community residents better. The facility’s Alzheimer’s programs are continually growing and becoming more comprehensive as medical professionals learn more about the disease.
In addition to long-term care services, Arbor Oaks Terrace offers temporary, short-term care for seniors who typically receive in-home care. Respite care services are available for seniors who need help while their primary caregiver is away. Respite residents stay in the same care facility as long-term residents and can use many of the same amenities. Like many senior care centers, Arbor Oaks Terrace does not offer health care services on-site. Fortunately, the Providence Newberg Medical Center is located only a few minutes away from campus, giving residents easy access to medical treatments and health care services.

My grandma is moving to Arbor Oaks Terrace Memory Care. We toured twice with Brooke, she was amazing. She's the activities director and she explained exactly what my grandmother's day would look like if she moved in. The thing we liked about the place and the reason why we chose it, was just it seems like they have so many activities and so many ways to engage the residents. They don't just have planned activities but they're also allowing them to help clean and do normal household things that they would do in their own home. Those were the things that made Arbor Oaks different from the other places we toured. Some of the amenities that we thought were cool were that they had dentists and doctors that come into the community regularly, so the residents who aren't able to leave the community for a doctor's visit don't have to leave. The staff who gave us the tour was just so friendly, so willing to answer all of our questions, and was personable. I like the idea of my grandma spending time with her. The only complaint I have is we have had some issues scheduling the assessment and the move-in date.

I will say up front that the staff there are excellent, worthy of a 4-5 star. However, calling today to visit, and was told facility on lockdown, yet residents can go out and spread it into community, or bring back, since do not wear masks there.I understand, but to stand outside in cold to visit with unmasked resident does not make sense to me, either? To take them out in public does not make sense either, since the public deserves better than that. The situation is overall very sad. A memory loss patient is very vulnerable, but usually will not remember the visit always, why risk the rest of your family, or others?Covid will never disappear from the facility as long as residents are leaving the facility and going to homes possibly bringing it back from carriers.Let's not blame staff for the outbreaks always, please. It works two ways. This is a very difficult situation!
