My mom lived at Sunrise Basking Ridge for 7+ years. During those 7 years she regressed from living independently to memory care and then finally to hospice care. I was always very happy with the care my mom received, and how I was treated as a frequent visitor.

It is a very homey and clean environment with kind, competent and respectful staff that anyone would wish to have as their loved one''s caregivers. I am so grateful for the high degree of communication, kind sentiments, and respect shown by Ashley Traynor, the nurses, and the conscientious and hardworking staff at all levels. Whenever I walk through the doors to visit, I can feel the safe and inviting environment that reminds me how pleased I am to have picked Sunrise for my father. Thanks Sunrise!

Sunrise of Basking Ridge was really nice and really pretty. I enjoyed my tour. I would give them fives for everything. The staff spent a lot of time showing me different options of places, whether it was a studio or a one-bedroom or a two-bedroom. It was the one closest to my house. I have nothing bad to say about it. It was just a little high on the price point for my mother. They had several outdoor spaces, little gathering areas, and a walkway that went all the way around. They offered me cookies, but I declined. The staff during the tour was super friendly, spent a lot of time, answered all of my questions, made follow-up phone calls to see if I had any questions a couple of days later, made sure that I had her contact information, and encouraged me to call back if there was anything else I needed to know.

Don’t be deceived by the first floor! The 3rd Floor Memory Impaired is horrifying! They have people handing out the wrong medicine who can not speak English. My Aunt fell and was lying in her room for hours and hospice found her! The workers have to cook, clean and take care of patients. Susan was Wonderful but the woman in charge at night scared my Aunt and was fresh to her! I let her have it when I found out! I moved her to Lantern Hill in New Providence, beautiful, well run facility. The Sales team make it sound wonderful but it’s not! At least NOT on the 3rd Floor! Stay away

The staff is great - I mean REALLY GREAT! The facility is well maintained. Sadly the food is terrible. Very limited selection & the quality is poor. We''ve mentioned our concerns numerous times but there seems to be no commitment to improving the food. We just buy our mom yogurts & bring her take out, or, now that we are able, we take her out. But for the daily rate to be what it is and to have to supplement her food on top of it is really aggravating.
