My grandparents have been living here for a few months now. It took many weeks before my grandparents received their prescribed medication properly. There were a few instances where they were denied receiving their medication or nurses did not show up with their proper medication. There was also an instance where some of their medication was missing. Things have gotten better over time and it seems like my grandparents are receiving their correct medicine regularly. They also seem to be eating well. Overall, the facility looks well maintained and offers many activities. I hope that things keep moving in the positive direction.

I am very disappointed with the quality of care my parents are receiving. Despite having my parents DME form filled well in advance of their move in date, the medical director didn''t have an issue with the medications listed. We requested that the facility dispense medication to my parents. On the 2nd day they took all my parents medication but refused to give them any until we sorted out the missing medications on the DME forms that were overlooked by the medical director. Even when I told the medical director that my mom was having trouble breathing he refused to give her the nebulizer breathing treatment. I had to escalate to the general manager to finally have the nebulizer returned so my mother could use it. After 2 weeks the medications are finally dispended per my parents schedule. When we were looking at the facility, we were promised excellent care and have not received it 100%

I am very disappointed with the level of care my mother in law and father in law are getting. Today will be one week that they are living at Merrill Gardens, neither one has showered at all because they need assistance and no one has been there to help. Today neither one was given their night time medications until we called and strongly told them to get them their medication. The staff seems unorganized and confused, they have excuses that don''t make sense. The facilities are very nice but the staff is very chaotic!
