My mother was a resident here and passed away back in 2018. When she first moved in there a few years prior she was able to walk still. Her health declined significantly during her time there and she was laying in bed so much that she lost the ability to walk. I was active duty military and had no other choice but to trust that she was being taken good care of. When she passed away I came to the facility and was pregnant at the time. One of the staff members made a rude comment about me being pregnant and basically said that''s what birth control is for. I was given my mom''s belongings in a trash bag to sort through. After that I had to practically beg them for months to pay me the money from my mom''s account that was owed to me. Even though I immediately provided them proof after her death that I paid all of the costs for her final arrangements.

Filthy and outdated, unprofessional, negative inattentive nurses and staff. Your loved one will be neglected in this facility in the worse ways imaginable.
Filthy conditions, smells of urine. Staff is unfriendly and clearly do not care about the residents well being. They clearly alter records to get through state inspections.

Top notch Facility From administrator down. to the aides.

My mother went to The Grove two years ago for restorative care, at first the staff seemed decent along with the facility. Then it all turned sour, they refused to do physical therapy with her, they refused to ambulate her, and they moved her call button away from her due to her requesting help. The aids (all but a couple of them) treated my mother poorly. They would take and break her belongings as well as ignoring her requests for help. They also over medicated her, as well as not keeping up with her hygiene. The Nurses also kept misdiagnosing her, despite her saying how she felt otherwise. During Christmas of 2017 I went up to see her with my family and I found my mother slumped over in her wheelchair while the nurses were laughing and carrying on their conversation not even giving my mother a second thought. Due to their carelessness and her being slumped over constantly, it collapsed her left lung. Despite my grandmother and I going up to The Grove for several meetings, nothing was changed and her health still continued to decline. During 2018 a week before Christmas, they sent my mother up to the hospital unresponsive, but The Grove never contacted us about the situation. After not hearing from my mother for a couple days, we called them and they wouldn’t give us information on my mother. After several attempts my grandmother finally got ahold of one of the aids that liked my mother and informed us that she was sent up to the hospital a couple days prior. She also had prolonged undiagnosed pneumonia, and due to their carelessness for not catching it in time they had to put her on life support. She had been on life support the two days we were trying to get ahold of her. If we did not get the information at the time that we did, they were going to take her off life support. Christmas Eve we were told we had a decision to make by one doctor. But by Christmas morning the second doctor told us about a tracheotomy. So they did the tracheotomy, she recovered from that and got it taken out and got to come home to us for 6 1/2 months but her health declined so much from the lack of care from The Grove, that she ended up passing away September of this year. This place turned out to be a nightmare for my family. She was only supposed to get restorative care, but instead she got mistreated and got left to rot like garbage. My mother was disabled and didn’t have the best insurance and if she had the choice she wouldn’t of went to The Grove. We trusted them, and they failed us.
