No one knew at the care center that he had an appointment even though it was in his chart. 18 phone calls to his floor desk, no answer no call back. 5 calls to Manager, no call back. Manager then had to call to say family member needed different kind of ride to appointment. She knew. So frustrating for the great amount of money for the poor care they get. I feel bad for the people with no family to speak for them.

I had gone to MLK care center in Bloomington, MN two days before Thanksgiving of 2021.. most caregivers were nice. It was clean and pretty decent..I had gone to Fairview hospital Burnsville previously because I fell backwards down a flight of stairs. I ended up with a compression fracture of the spine. I got little pt and ot..not enough though..I dont remember anything after the first week of December . I was there until April 3, 2022 or around there. It took my daughter and her boyfriend to say something was wrong with me because I looked out of it. She asked the head nurse to check me out. As they were concerned I didn''t look well. By the time they were home I was in the hospital..ended up I had hydrocephalus. And had shunt put a few days later... I would never go there again. .

My mom has been attending the Adult Day Program at Martin Luther Manor for several years and it has been such a blessing for her and for us. She has dementia and lives with us now. She gets socialization, mental stimulation, and participates in art, music, exercise, etc. Also, it''s a wonderful source of respite from caregiving for us. The staff who run this program are truly wonderful, kind, patient and really seem to enjoy their work and provide high quality experiences and care. I very highly recommend this program!
