My 91 year old mother was in Liberty Ridge Health and Rehab after being in the hospital to put a stint in a malfunctioning valve. The care she received was excellent. Since I am out-of- state, I received a daily call, updating me. Mom said her room was spacious, the food was excellent, and everyone was so nice and prompt to respond if she needed them. I highly recommend this facility

My mom has been at the facility for almost 2 years. My siblings and I feel that she is receiving outstanding care. The staff treat her with love and respect. They treat her as their family. In fact, some of the staff address her as Granny. If there is a problem, it is addressed and corrected immediately. If there is a concern, we are contact immediately. The facility is always clean and has a pleasant smell.

Warning - DO NOT send your loved ones to this facility. Many of the staff are rude and unprofessional - trickle down effect of faulty leadership. They are short staffed and over worked. Great rehab after partial hip replacement My elderly diabetic mother, who has suffered multiple strokes, went to Liberty Ridge Health & Rehab after an emergency partial hip replacement at Lynchburg General. The setting at this facility was secure and clean. She was in a private room with private bathroom. The nurses, med techs, and therapists were all very good at helping her improve from a tough surgery. I had regular conference calls with the management, that they setup, to discuss progress, opportunities, and challenges. After 4 weeks she was able to be relocated back to the assisted living facility where she had been living. The biggest area of improvement that I could identify was how they prepared meals. I was disappointed to learn they did not offer menu items tailored to diabetic dietary restrictions- instead they would just serve smaller portions of a normal menu. It was like a kids menu with very small portions to limit carb/sugar intake, not normal portions of meals that were planned for diabetics. The results of PT , ST, and OT were apparent when Mom transitioned back to her assisted living, away from this rehab facility- her speech and mobility had improved and therapists were engaged and communicative about the whole process. Hopefully we do not need more rehab, but I would definitely have Liberty Ridge Rehab on my list of preferred places if the need arises. Meal planning would be my biggest consideration, if there was availability.
