Toured this facility two days after Halloween and yet I felt like I was in a haunted house. Bad smell, bad looking care, lady said “we’re trying”
Ask if they have a single nurse, LPN, or RN on staff. The answer is NO, and it shows. Ask if they have a single nurse, LPN, or RN on staff. The answer is NO, and it shows. They only have CNAs and Med Techs to care for advanced dementia patients and people with extensive medical/care needs. The patient care director isn’t even a nurse, LPN or RN. No MD is almost ever on site, once a week a PA walks through and visits the residents for a few minutes a piece. (Ask them!) My best friend's father was there, and in six months, they made this sweet man leave with no real plan because he had developed a massive stage 3 wound on his bottom that they couldn't take care of per state regulations. The funny thing is, her dad had no wounds when he arrived, and yes, he uses a wheelchair, but that is the case with many of their residents. They simply didn't move him enough and allowed him to sit in urine and feces for long periods during the day. Falls are out of control here; we are better off at home, but please beware and ask the right questions before going with the cost-saving alternative to anything resembling humane care.

I have had issues with [name removed] falling and no one around. No phone calls that she has fallen. Her clothes are disappearing and clothes that are not hers are in her closet. Very clean place, I think they need more attendants for patients. I hate saying I was being lied to but I was not told the truth on something's that I brought up to the director. Attendants in the back told me the truth. Cost is crazy, but I think having to be in a memory care place cost more? Now that she is in wheelchair I think she could go to anywhere that has dementia patients

We've been very happy with the care my father has received at Franklin Manor. His private room is spacious, and the housekeeping and laundry services that round each day are excellent. Despite dad isolating more over the last several years the activities staff on site has managed to keep him engaged and active and make him a part of their community. Staff great, passionate people. A+ all around.
