Envoy is the best place to work. All the staff is very friendly and is willing to help one another as a team. The residents are treated with great amount of care and respect. The residents love the activities they are involved in on a daily basis. There are alot of residents that are now engaged in those activities and having fun at the same time. There is a new menu that the residents love and gives them a sense of feeling that they can choose what they want to eat. It is important to note that the residents have a voice and that they feel they are being heard. Above all Envoy of Williamsburg has become a great place to be both for the residents and the staff. Good things are happening all the time with new faces coming to work to form a great team. Above all we are all here for the residents.

I''m really concerned that the hospice RN is not being allowed to examine my loved one in person even though the hospice company tests their employees for Covid twice weekly and Envoy has on-site rapid Covid testing available. They are not even able to get in touch with the nursing staff as often as they need to. This needs to be resolved and quickly. Update: I called the director two days ago and he has not returned my call. Meanwhile my grandmother had still not had what is supposed to be a weekly evaluation from the hospice RN.

My Mom was there for almost two years. They constantly change staff answer the phone when they please and bully the patients. My Mom''s checkbook atm card and phone are " locked" in the office and my Mom was sent to the hospital a day after reporting them missing. She returned to envoy after an amputation, fell and broke her hip almost immediate and was sent to hospital and returned again. Envoy told the hospital their beds were full near the end of May and my Mom was sent to a facility in Ashland. My Mom died July 1st and no one from envoy has made any attempt to contact family even though they have her possessions. I would like to ad that envoy has been getting paid through Medicaid and Medicare and are well aware that my mom''s siblings and children are out of state. Envoy also sent no identification with my mom to the hospital each time and my mom is now an unclaimed body in refrigerator storage at a service company because the hospital morgue is full.. Envoy never gave family any medical information and claimed not to know why she was sent to the hospital or which hospital she was sent to.They need to contact memorial regional hospital and implement the procedure in place at envoy when a resident dies whether in their hospice care or the hospitals. They need to use the access they have to her bank account to follow her wishes to be cremated and her remains sent to family. There is no excuse or exception. Ma''am you just called me 10 minutes ago as the Executive Director saying you just learned that my Mom passed from Ashland today..Nope you learned from my review and called me within 20 minutes of seeing it.. First I don''t like being lied too, second you mean that my mom was sent to the hospital in May and no one followed up? Did you file a missing person report?. No .. My Mom was a writer by profession even working for the associated press and Virginian pilot ledger star . In her retirement years she took care of her mother in Staunton Virginia and still wrote articles for the Huffington post among other free lance work. I may not have her editing or writing ability but I do know that as executive director you need to make some changes at that facility and the best way to start is to do the right thing. Do not attempt to patronize me. Thank you.
