I toured Double Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care, it was very nice. The people were very nice and accommodating, and the facilities were pretty brand new, so that was good. They followed up with us, but they're quite expensive. They showed us both assisted living and memory care. The apartments had nothing, so you had to bring your own furniture in the assisted living rooms. There were different levels of rooms, there was a one-bedroom, a studio, and a deluxe studio, but they just include the bathroom and the room. The facilities were very nice, there was an outdoor area or courtyard so they can sit out, and their dining area was also nice. The staff who gave the tour answered all of our questions, was very concerned about the care that we needed, and offered advice. The place was clean, but in one area you could smell that a person had an accident, and you could smell it down the hall.

Double Creek Assisted Living & Memory Care was fabulous. However, it was way at the top of our budget; it was more expensive. It's very high-end, very clean, and very organized. There were lots of artwork on the wall. It looked like it was well taken care of. The staff who assisted me stopped and introduced me to other staff. They were very friendly. They just have a great demeanor about them, a pleasant demeanor. She told me what each person did and all that. They have an elevator. You could go upstairs in the elevator, and that was different from the other ones. I like the layout. They have a second floor. I like the movie theater room, too. It was really expensive though.

His room is good for what we need for him (which is in the memory care). They've got a very nice outside garden and a beautiful community room that they all work, do exercises, and do projects. They're all good. The one time that I was there during mealtime, it smelled pretty good. It smelled like something that I would cook. I haven't heard any complaints from my dad saying that he didn't like the food. He said it was fine. They have a full schedule of activities. They've got a beautiful facility. It's new and clean. The staff has been wonderful. We've been very happy with this choice.
