Copper Springs Senior Living is an assisted living and memory care facility in Meridian Idaho. In addition to assisted living and memory care, the facility offers independent living services and respite care. Each of the facility’s spacious senior apartments is equipped with a personal emergency response system, designed to keep residents safe when staff is not around to supervise. Professional nurses and caregivers are on-staff twenty-four hours a day, so residents can request assistance at any time, as-needed.
Every member of the Copper Springs senior living retirement community is invited to enjoy home-style meals in the facilities dining room, and social activities are held daily in the community areas. The community’s social activities include game nights and arts and crafts, among others. Copper Springs also sponsors intergenerational programs at the community, among other enrichment programs.
Each Copper Springs resident works one-on-one with a care advisor to establish a care routine tailored to their needs. Every day, staff members provide housekeeping services, help residents with their activities of daily living, and provide medication assistance (among other assisted living services). The assisted living services are administered in each resident’s apartment, making it easy for them to receive senior care without leaving their home. Copper Springs prides itself on its homestyle assisted living options, which go hand-in-hand with their many amenities. Seniors report high happiness ratings as they receive long-term care at Copper Springs, thanks to the staff’s dedication to exceptional senior care.
Like many assisted living facilities in Idaho, the Copper Springs senior living community offers memory care services in addition to general non-medical long-term care. Typical assisted living communities may not be suitable for older adults with Alzheimer’s disease who may need a higher level of care to manage their symptoms. To properly serve residents with Alzheimer’s disease, Coppers Springs offers a comprehensive Alzheimer’s care program that offers many of the same services as assisted living, tailored for seniors with memory loss and dementia. Alzheimer’s care residents receive assistance with their activities of daily living and housekeeping services like the facility’s other residents, adjusted to manage memory loss. However, the facility does not offer skilled nursing care on-site for their residents, and seniors who require ongoing medical treatment to protect their health and well-being may not be well-suited at the facility. Only licensed nursing homes and hospitals may provide skilled nursing care to residents – community-based assisted living facilities like Copper Springs do not qualify.
From home-cooked meals to the facility’s spacious senior apartments, there are many reasons Copper Springs Senior Living is considered one of Idaho’s premier retirement communities. To learn more about the senior living community and its amenities, prospective residents may consider scheduling a tour of the facility. The staff is happy to answer questions, and can explain the may ways Copper Springs stands apart from other assisted living facilities in the Meridian area.

Services that we were told would be available prior to signing contract are not being provided. Three weeks after moving in we were told that that they could not assist in physical therapy because of staff shortage & liability issues to them in case of a fall. Also refused to take patient to dining area for meals also due to staff shortage. Found out later that this facility was sold to a new corporation and it is under new management. Evidently at that time half of the staff quit. Current staff is undertrained and getting "on the job training". Because of so many complaints coming from families this facility was just had a State Inspection. Do not be deceived my the nice looking building, dining area, rooms. Most of all don't be deceived by the management at this facility. If you want a true assessment ask to see the State Inspection report and talk to the residents who are living there.

They seem to have a remake of the same food all day this is what the other residents were saying. They didn't seem to have a lot of activities when I was around. The biggest thing was the trip to Walmart The people that I was hearing from was it was 2 hours that included traveling too and from didn't leave much time to shop. Overall, it was the best place, and I visited quite a few before selecting Copper Springs.

I was a resident at Copper Springs Senior Living. We didn't have nurses, we only had medtechs. They'll bring you ice water and give you medicine and cook food for you, but the food was lousy. Some of it you couldn't even eat, and you had to eat what you got, or else you're going to go hungry. I was not satisfied with the care that I got there. Most of the staff didn't know much about taking care of a diabetic. My doctor had me take my own insulin in my room and keep it in my little refrigerator because they didn't know what they were doing. At one point, they even gave me somebody else's insulin and it made me very, very sick. You can play cards and games, do arts and crafts, and they would take us shopping occasionally by the bus, but they didn't provide transportation to my doctor. It was up to me to get somebody to take me.
