I am planning to move my sister into Commonwealth Senior Living at Hagerstown for respite care. It was very clean and it had a warm setting. I was there when they were eating lunch, so I didn't see activities. I had a really good conversation with the person that set it up, Kelly. The staff was friendly, and they seemed to be helpful with the residents. The rooms were nice. They had some that were private and the others were semi, so 2 to a room. But everything was nice. They had a courtyard, which was nice and fenced-in. I could see that they would enjoy being out there. They had a little area where they could do gardening, a little area for music, and comfortable chairs for them to sit in. They had a nursery area that had a crib and a rocking chair and that was full of babies for those who needed that.

This community did not have any private rooms and did not have any openings when my loved one had to have a place. I liked this community but it just did not have openings and we were on a time schedule
I thought Commonweath at Hagerstown was very nice. The only downside is they didn’t have any single rooms available at the time, and our loved one didn’t want to share a room. But the lady that showed us through was very nice. They were probably our 2nd choice out of the places we looked at.
Commonwealth Senior Living at Hagerstown looked like a warm, open place. They give my mother good care. The staff members are all welcoming, soothing to my mother, and kind. They have luaus and they do music. The facilities are clean and spacious. They have somebody who comes in and does their hair....

The tour at Commonwealth Senior Living at Hagerstown was very good and very informative. They seemed to have a lot more activities, and we liked the way it was set up. The staff there was a lot better; it seemed like they kept them more active, and the place was cleaner. They have a very nice, serene area out back. They have nurses and their own doctor, or you could use your own. They have a bus for activities and to go out and about.
