My husband stayed at Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. They were good in all areas. He participated in some activities. He had a nice private room and they had upgraded it. My husband was in memory care, and I don't think the facility was as clean as the other place, but I oftentimes hit them right after lunch, and that was the worst time. His room was clean, but he rarely used it. He usually slept in a chair because he preferred to sleep somewhere like the nurse's station, or wherever there were other people. They were good with my husband, but they did get frustrated with him and they didn't mind telling me, but I don't blame them. He was difficult, but they took care of him. They did transport him to the ER several times, but one time I got the bill for $1,000 for an ambulance service that I'm not too happy about. I didn't know it was going to cost that much and Medicare is not going to pay for it. That's one thing that I think they could have been a little more careful about. They don't have a very big staff, but I think that holds true for every place. They had Memorial Day and Veterans Day, and he participated in them. They had a lot of plans and things, and they deserve a good rating on that. They were very invested in their patients.

Reading their policies and everything, other patients weren't supposed to go into other rooms etc. But after his surgery I advised them was taking him home with me and they wouldn't allow it due to their policy as they had a 30 day policy to release him. So they wouldn't follow policy on the rooms as noted above, but when we had tried to take him home they wouldn't allow. Would seem as if they would pick and choose which policies to follow which didn't seem correct or right. Other than the issue noted, most everything was pretty well there even though were there for a short period of time.

My husband has been a resident at Celebration Villa (formally Elmcroft) for 2 1/2 years. I can honestly say that he receives excellent care and the attention to detail is always provided. I feel very comfortable in knowing that his dally needs are addressed and whenever I have a question, it is answered promptly. No one wants to place a loved one in a facility but if I had to do it all over again, I would make the same decision. Finally, the nursing staff and all of the aides are very nice and take their jobs seriously.

My mom moved into Celebration Villa of Mid Valley. Everywhere is short-staffed. Thanks to the current environment, nobody has enough staff. That being said, with the short staff, they are doing an excellent job of attempting to care for my mom. The only downside is, because of their short staff status, it's difficult to get a hold of a person to try and get status on my mom after hours. The process of moving my mom was fine, and there were no issues. She gets to choose her meals daily. They have several options, and she gets to pick from the available. It is a lockdown facility. You have to get buzzed in to be able to go into the building. They are very good at taking care to prevent anyone with illnesses to get in and cause a problem. Everything I've seen looks nice, but I haven't seen her physical room. They have an outdoor area. Once COVID restrictions are lifted, they can have up to five people in the area as visitors. There is a visitation room. If she'd had a private room, we could go in and visit her in the room. The price is reasonable.
