I toured The Gardens of Green Ridge. If my cousin didn't get into the other place, I definitely would have wanted him in The Gardens of Green Ridge. It was beautiful for someone who's looking for a very, very nice, modern, updated place. It's just that my cousin wasn't interested in any of the extra amenities. But I enjoyed the visit. I checked everything. It was very top-notch. However, it was way out of our reach as far as distance. But the place was gorgeous, I would move in there. I'm 75 so I could get there, too. The staff who gave the tour was very informative and very patient with me. Just a nice place and nice people there. It's a very clean up-to-date place.

Everybody we met on our tour at The Gardens of Green Ridge was very nice and welcoming. I thought the facility was too big for my loved one to navigate though, and I just didn't have that feeling of "this is the one" like I did with the place we chose.

My aunt has started residents at The Gardens of Green Ridge. It's a very intimate place. There are only about 44 residents, so it's like a small family. Everybody is very friendly and very attentive to each other's needs. I get a sense that th entire administration is very engaged with the patients and the community members there. I find the ambiance to be one of the reasons why my aunt wanted to go there. We've been to other places that are larger, but there seemed too much noise and too much activity. My aunt wanted a nice private environment where she could get quiet time to herself, as much as she would be doing a lot of activities. I think this place is a nice combination of both. The staff is very professional. We met the administrative team, the executive director, the recruiting director, and nursing director. All of them were very attentive and thorough. Their program for onboarding new patients was a 36 hour (hour-by-hour) regimen, which we find very impressive. They have activities with the patients. The care is completely integrated into the cost and the aides are very attentive, so we're happy with that program. The building is impeccably clean. I went there at night to see what's happening after hours when I wasn't touring, and they keep the place perpetually clean. The staff is centrally located, so they have quick access to the patient if they need them. The 24/7 nursing team is great. They have a beautiful chapel on the left, so they're very attentive to religious services. It is a nice place if you're interested in faith based activity. They have a beautiful library and activity room, and so it's been nice. My aunt is gluten free, so they're very nice about that. They asked her what cereal and snacks she likes, so it's very intimate that they're asking her. The chef is taking care of the food that she wanted. They do a lot of trips. They have movie nights, socials in the afternoon, physical therapy, and activities. They have transportation everywhere. They have a shuttle bus that takes the patients or the staff where they want to go. They have a lot of activities and also gives them downtime, so I like that combination. The value for the money is great. It's all inclusive in the assisted care package. It's a very good value for the dollar.
