Vitality Living Shadow Hills was very interesting and very nice. I liked the location; it was nice. It was in an area that I like. The apartments were very nice. They were good. The nice thing is that they also included a garage, which was nice. The apartment comes with a refrigerator, a stove, a dishwasher, and all that stuff. I was very impressed. They seemed to take good care of the place physically, which is nice. That lady was very nice. She took me around, showed me everything, and answered any questions I had.

My sister is at Vitality Living Shadow Hills. The staff is wonderful. Everybody's really sweet, very caring, and very helpful. The gentleman in the room next door, unfortunately, has dementia, which triggers at night, and he's up all night yelling and screaming and keeping my sister awake all night long. She had been dealing with that for over a month and was literally getting no sleep during the night. I think she was just frustrated with that. He's going to be transferred to another facility next week. Other than that, she really likes the place. She's made some good friends there. I like it. I go and see her a couple of times a week and eat lunch with her. She has art classes there, they do crafts, and they go on some outings and things. I've had a little trouble communicating with the director. We've had a few little instances, but the overall staff, the aides, the kitchen help, the medication people, housecleaning, all of them are wonderful. I've had a couple of issues with the higher ups there. Their food is good. They have the dining room where they all have their meals. They have a little library area. There's a salon where they can go and get their hair done. It's a really small facility, which I do like and my sister like. They have a little area where they do painting and art classes and arts and crafts. Every morning, they do their chair exercises. There's one area that got some chairs and a big table where people can go and sit. They have a room with some theater chairs in it if they want to watch movies.

Vitality Living Shadow Hills was wonderful. It's where I was looking to move my parents because I was impressed with that place. It was very quaint like a colonial type of place. I fell in love with it. I liked the fact that it was done on an octagon level, so everything came around back to the main area. When you first walked in, it was the dining room after you passed the offices and everything. The apartments were a little small, so that was going to be a concern of mine, but this was something that I was originally trying to research for the future. The staff was wonderful. They were incredible. They invited us for lunch and their food was amazing as well. The place was beautiful in a different setting. They were all very, very nice to us. We got to meet the activities director, and they have quite a few activities over there as well. That's why I was leaning towards Vitality Living Shadow Hills.

The rooms at Vitality Living Shadow Hills were very nice. They had nice restrooms that looked like they would be easy to use, nice beds, and communal movie areas for people to get together. Robert showed me around and he was very accommodating in answering all the different questions I had about the place. Everyone looked pretty happy, too. They had groups for various things. They get together every week to play dominoes or take walks outside if they want to. They also had a salon and an exercise room with different equipment for people to use. They had quite a spacious dining area and a nice kitchen. Before we left, Robert gave us a pie to take home to my grandmother. She liked it. It was delicious.

Vitality Living Shadow Hills was very friendly, very welcoming, and bright. The residents and the staff banter each other and there were just people constantly moving around. The residents would come up to me and ask me who I was and if I was going to work there, and they got so excited. It's a small facility. I ate lunch there and the food was really good. They went way above and beyond compared to the other ones I visited. They gave me a tour of every nook and cranny of that place. The person who showed me around was excellent. They have a dining room, a game room, then they do painting, all kinds of activities, and they have outdoor spaces for them. There's tons of stuff that they have.
