Mom is there. Daytime caregivers are awesome. Laundry always mixed up. She is clean and dressed everyday. Have activities. Not a very friendly group in office. Never have time to listen about issues we are concerned with. Very quick to raise living cost but they aren''t getting anything extra for the monies we are paying there. We need our Mother treated with care compassion and love. Respect them you get respect. It''s totally the living costs are taking the elderly every penny they have. If differences were better health issues cleanliness and tender loving care maybe I could see paying the monies. I''m seeing nothing for the betterment of our loved ones but price increases are happening regularly.

I didn't like too many things about Belvedere Commons of Franklin. It's an older facility. It shows some signs of wear. It's sparse inside. There doesn't appear to be much for the people to do. It's got a large common area and all that, but there didn't seem to be much there of any interest. I wasn't too impressed with the manager. She was too quick to say that people needed additional help. She was doing things that, to me, did not come across very well, and I had a problem with that, but overall I was impressed with the facility. The pricing was good. The rooms were large and pretty roomy. They were OK. We only met two people there, so I didn't have real contact with the staff there, except for the management. There was some maintenance that needed to be done. Some of the woodwork was in bad shape.

We have been coming in and out of Belvedere Commons of Franklin for awhile, we are always greeted by someone with a smile and are ready to help us. We have seen the staff interacting with the residents and the residents seem happy and content. I see them playing games especially Rummiku. All the residents look well cared for. I haven’t tried the food but I asked the residents how the food is, they say that it is much better than before. I would bring my loved one here to live. I hope this review will help you if you are looking for a place for your loved one.

Our family had a terrible experience related to safety, cleanliness, and overall care. My husband was able to get out of facility twice. Housekeeping was negligible was odor of urine throughout! The care an services provided were grossly misrepresented from the start. For starters, he was able to get out twice. Once due to gate left open and unattended. The director actually saw him walking outside in front of facility headed to Royal Parkway. On another occasion, he was brought back to Belvedere by a nice couple who saw him walking on Royal PKW and knew something was wrong. It could have ended badly. Food portions were small and cold. I was told he would be assisted eating. Only one of the aides did that. She worked nights and I can't remember name. I took food myself almost every day and left snacks. Prominent smell of urine throughout facility causing feet to stick to floor. The toilet in the commons areas was beyond nasty with excrement and urine. I was told he would have some type of physical activity. That did not happen. One of us (children or myself) were there every day at different times. I realize he had Alzheimer's and might not be able to do group activities, but was told he would get 1 on 1 stimulation during the week. Difficult to get information. I was told I could call and check on him. Seldom did anyone answer...especially at night. It was equally difficult to reach director or nurse for information. One nurse spoke very little English. We were in process of locating another facility when a UTI sent him to [name removed] and thankfully a spot opened at [community name removed] where he received quality care. Interestingly, [community name removed] cost comparison with Belvedere was negligible. Very short staff. 1 person on duty at night. It was a nightmare experience. I don't understand how it has remained open.

It was nice the helpers came by every room before meals to let them have time to get up front. It was affordable so I understand budget.
