My Mom has been at Bellhaven for almost two years now. Initially our family was very concerned about the transition from her home to this facility. It was made much easier by the love and compassion of the entire staff. Every time we visit, we marvel at how patient they are and how they handle every challenging situation with love and grace. Even when the same question is asked over and over again by a memory challenged resident, the nurses, aides, administrators and entire staff just smile and answer it over and over again as if it was the first query. The respect, love and compassion displayed is remarkable. We had the good fortune to visit this past weekend and it turns out it was the monthly Birthday celebration! Maureen and the recreation staff (yes, they have a recreation staff!) rally the residents and if needed, help guide them to the dining room. While Colin plays the piano and sings (yes, he takes requests!), the team hands out birthday cake (your choice, vanilla or chocolate) and coffee/tea. They read out the names of everyone celebrating their birthday that month to make sure they feel extra special. Our sincere thanks to all of the kind and wonderful people at Bellhaven for making my Mom''s life as pleasant as possible.

It has been over a year since I wrote my last review and I still could not be happier with mom''s care! I still believe that she is receiving the best care with love, kindness and compassion. The staff goes above and beyond and really knows who mom is !!! Not just the nurses ,aides and physical therapists but everyone she encounters. It is so reassuring knowing she is in good hands. I would like to personally thank them all for a job well done. They deserve so much praise !!!!! My mom has always been very social and recreation does an amazing job of entertaining the residents. The units are decorated like elves have arrived for each holiday. Special events, themed sing alongs, games, movies and activities are carried out like a cruise director is on staff. They even go room to room to make sure those who can''t wheel themselves in don''t miss out. This months Oscar nominated movies was a success and Mom saw more movies than I did!!! It Makes my heart sing when I walk in and see mom socializing with her friends. Kudos to the fabulous recreation team !!!! Again, I can''t say enough about our experience At Bellhaven, but like the old sitcom Cheers song went- "it''s great to go where everyone knows your name" My original review: My mom came to Bellehaven after having surgery . I was very concerned about my mom’s transition as she was completely immobile and cognitively impaired. Katie was the first nurse who assured us mom would be well taken care of . And she wasn’t wrong .Katie was a dream. Everyone went above and beyond ! The most noteworthy being , CNA , Nordia. She made my mom feel special and attended to all her needs and then some. There are not many people like Nordia in the industry and she should be commended ..The social worker Lendcy always was available for me to ask about moms progress. Mom thoroughly enjoyed the food and loved that she was able to pick her options . The courtyard was so pleasant and mom loved that we could wheel outside for fresh air . Mom’s PT went extremely well and the staff had her build up her muscle strength to be able to return to her assisted living using her rollatetor . I wasn’t sure that would be possible . This exceeded my expectations. We are happy that mom had such a pleasant experience and her roommate was such a sweetheart that it was the icing on the cake . This family would recommend Bellehaven in a minute.

The nurses on the b2 wing is the best because they took very well of my grandma and we love the respect and hospitality they gave us.
