My father went and looked at several facilities himself, and Barton Creek Senior Living was the one he felt good about. There's just a good feeling about it. What stood out the most was the people, and that it's clean, very nice, and upgraded. His apartment is called a studio plus. It's a studio that has a little hallway, so it's not a separate room. It has two rooms, kind of a bedroom area, a little hallway, and a living room area. Then it has a little kitchenette with a fridge, counter, sink, and a microwave. They also have a dining area Then they hold church services right at the facility (which was a plus for him). It has an outdoor courtyard, which drew him there and it's really pretty. It has swing chairs that he likes. He thinks the food is excellent and he just keeps telling me what good chefs they have. He's very excited about the activities, too. They had a luau night and some really fun things. Price wise, it's comparable to everywhere else in the area. They're all about the same.

We chose Barton Creek Senior Living because they have a lot to offer, it's smaller, and that it was very clean. The people there seemed very caring and concerned. They were very welcoming. My mom's room has a lot of storage. It's very comfortable. It has a nice, big window that she can look out to the nice scenery, and they've just been good to my mom. I have tried their food and usually it's really good. Actually, one of the first days, I tried some food for lunch, and it was very tasty. It's just that some days they have a different cook and some days it's not quite as good, but when the main cook is there, it's really good. They keep the place really nice and clean. Everytime I visit there it looks very clean, and it does not smell. They have some really good activities. It is really fun and I've been very impressed by them. They offer a lot for the cost. So, I think they're a good value for the money.

The person who toured me around was very friendly. They offered me food to try when I was there visiting, which was nice.

The reason I'm not giving 5 stars is because the food could be a little bit better..... it wasn't awful, but it really could be better. But once again, you can feel good bringing your family members here.
