I worked there for 9 months. If i could rate it lower it would be in the negative. The first few months were fine. But something happened and the constant change of supervisors was like every month. The work load became tiring because we were always understaffed. We were not paid enough for the work we were doing. Staff members would drink on the clock and also smoke weed. Even the employee of the month was fired. Ha...I would go home exhausted because I would work alone with over 60+ residents who needed something. Was paid extra for doing the work of 2!? No... they would offer bonuses if you came in to cover a shift but it wouldn''t show up on your check. When you would ask they would say "who promised it" like...what, I''m doing you a favor! I had strept and when i called in she got irritated with me... then called me the next day to see if I can come in. Um, no I''m still contagious! Sexual harassment from a particular resident. Was told to get in the bed and "spread my legs"! Was also called every 30 mins so he could try and get a kiss. Supervisors didn''t care. They knew but didn''t do anything. After filling out a survey after I quit some head hr person called to talk about it. I''m writing this because I really liked my job but it was the terrible higher ups who would hire unqualified, unprofessional people to work there. I remember one lady came for an interview. She waited for an hour. When called back her interview was literally 3 minutes!!! Keep your family away. The pictures are a joke. This place is terrible to work at and don''t leave your family there. Who knows who is taking care of them!?! Mic drop 🎙

Today I was visiting a family member and the way I overhead management speaking to staff was absolutely atrocious. I overheard a male talk to “care staff” as if they were children. The tone overheard was unprofessional and demeaning and I’m Just overall disappointed. There’s no wonder staff is a revolving door around this place if this is how they’re treated. It seems like every time I’m in the building there’s very few faces that I recognize. I’ve debated posting a review most of the day and I finally decided that leaving a review and contacting corporate will be my next steps to be the voice for these employees who work so hard and do not deserve to be spoken to with such disrespect. These employees work their tails off and to be spoken to in such a way stating that they need to respond “NOW!” I’m just baffled and disappointed. I hope this place steps it up soon or we will be looking elsewhere.

I went to Summerplace Assisted Living & Memory Care. It was very nice, it was a great tour. It was the best tour of all, but it was a huge location. And I got a chance to see everything as I did in other places. But the place was so big. It took a lot longer than I anticipated, but what I saw was very impressive. The amenities appear to be wonderful. They have a kind of like a special bathtub that provides some sonic kind of action. It's probably like a healing bathtub for those folks that need some kind of therapy, and I like that. The rooms are very nice. The staff is very nice. I got a chance to meet a staff person who looks like me, I'm a black woman, and it's always nice as a person of color when you go to a facility you see people like you because that gives you some comfort that your loved one will be well received.

Summerplace Assisted Living & Memory Care was nice. The apartment itself was very well set up, had a big window and a nice view outside, and it just felt roomy and comfortable. The staff was very nice. I dealt with one person, but she was very nice. Activities were present in both areas. There were places set aside for activities, crafting, social activities, dining, that sort of thing. There was a bit of a smell in the memory care unit and I know I asked about it specifically and the staff said, "Well, you know, we have a lot of people with incontinence issues," which I understood because my mom has those issues, too. I think whatever they were using to try to cover it up in the way of the air freshener along with the underlying issues was not super pleasant.

My friend has moved into Summerplace Assisted Living & Memory Care. He's not very fond of the meals. I am not sure exactly what it is he dislikes, but he's a little disappointed in the meals. He was able to move into something that has recently been remodeled, so he's very happy with his little apartment. As for the residents and the people he's interacting with, everything seems to be going very well. I would call it a studio. It has two separate rooms, a little living area with a sink, a microwave, a little kitchen, and a separate room with a bed. It looked like it was well kept, and everybody seems to be comfortable. It looks like they have a fairly nice dining room. We chose it for him because it is in the neighborhood; it's about a hundred yards from his old house. He has friends in that community, so they can go down and visit him. Everything seems to be well kept. The yard is manicured and kept up well.
