I recently had the pleasure of visiting Arbor Oaks at Lakeland Hills, and I must say, it was a wonderful experience. I was greeted with genuine warmth and hospitality. Mary Gaudet, in particular, stood out with his exceptional service and friendly demeanor. The staff was friendly and greeted everyone with a smile. Both the independent and Assisted Living buildings were beautiful. I highly recommend Arbor Oaks to anyone looking for a beautiful place to call home.

It’s been a few years since my mother was there. She passed away in December of 2020. We had her in 2 other facilities prior to this and it was awful. Every time something would happen at the other places they would send her to ER (because they didn’t have a nurse on staff). When we found Arbor Oaks we were so blessed. We thought she would be in memory care because the last center had her there, but after the assessment by the nurse( I can’t think of her name) she had her own room. I can’t tell you how much my mother changed for the better. The staff really cared about her. I believe my mom loved it there. She seemed to thrive. Anytime something was going on the nurse would call and ask me how they should handle it. Not just send her to the ER. When Covid hit we were able to visit by calling into a phone and sitting outside but seeing mom through the glass doors to the dining room. They were protective of the residents but stilll allowed us to visit in a safe way. During covid mom started getting worse and I’m sure it had to do with being restricted to her room. Because before that she was thriving there. She loved the activities and they would get her out of her room. When mom got sick before she died the nurse called with every change and with gown gloves and mask let us go in to sit with her. I’ll never forget the morning mom passed how wonderful they were. We even got a card of sympathy. They were awesome. I highly recommend arbor oaks. Unfortunately there will always be some bad apple in the staff but they will take care of it. I’m a RN and so is my brother so we know about good care, and our mother was well cared for. Our only regret was that we didn’t take her there first!! And that she endured 2 bad places. Thanks to everyone there. Mrs Futch

The facility is fine, it is good if someone wants to be on the north side of Lakeland, bad if they don’t. The director needs to go. She is into self promotion, not a team player. Have witnessed her firing some of the best employees because they refused to play her game. She has been awful to family members of residents. Would I choose Arbor Oaks for my family member now if I knew what I know now? No, I would not! Yes, there are some nice people that work there. But, the director makes it an unpleasant place. I would not recommend Arbor Oaks.
