Elmcroft is one of the nicer assisted living facilities, but unfortunately it has some of the same problems all assisted living facilities seem to have. They tend to be understaffed (especially at night) and communication (or lack of) with the residents during important events (the loss of water for hours, etc) is more reminiscent of the way people would treat children than you would treat actual "residents". Some of the care workers are amazing though and the facility itself doesn''t have the depressing atmosphere many others do. Just stay on top of things. Seriously. Medications, maintenance, everything. You cannot assume mistakes are not happening.
