Discover Luxurious Living at Harmony at Brentwood
Harmony at Brentwood offers a high-end senior care experience for older adults who enjoy resort-style amenities and a luxurious feel. Mornings here might start with a made-to-order omelet and a yoga session, while afternoons might see residents competing in ping pong tournaments, discussing literature in a book club or practicing their steps in dance class. When the sun goes down, seniors here attend themed happy hour socials, play card games and grab popcorn for movie nights. Residents also benefit from a 24-hour fitness center, an on-site theater, a gorgeous outdoor terrace and a piano lounge.
Outside the community, Nashville’s many cultural attractions await. Seniors like to head to Merchants Walk Shopping Center to find deals or get their blankets for a night of music at Crockett Park. The heart of the Music City is less than 20 minutes away, too, which means nights at the Grand Ole Opry, the sights and sounds of the world-famous Music Row and Titans games at Nissan Stadium. Brentwood is also near a number of well-regarded medical centers, including Welshwood Health Care, Vanderbilt Hospital and Ascension Saint Thomas Hospital Midtown.

As the General Manager of Comfort Keepers Home Care, it has been so nice working with residents who need a little extra support at this facility and also knowing someone I know personally in memory care here .

It was very hard to get someone from Harmony at Brentwood to agree to see us. I think they were having problems. They also had their phone service had gone out. It started off the wrong way, which is unfortunate, though the facility itself was very lovely and nicely appointed. Beautiful lobby. We sat with the director. The thing that tipped us off is that their ratio was about one care person to 10 residents. As we went into the memory care wing, we were greeted by a distressed resident and that was discouraging. There's a very long, long, long hallway before you get into the core of that memory ward. So that person in distress at the only entrance that we can come into memory, there was nobody there to help her. There was nobody there to be alert for her. And because it was right before lunchtime, the caregivers were probably involved with that going on way down the corridor, and so we felt that was a big, big no-no because if my friend gets placed there, she's on her own. It was very poorly managed from the number of caregivers they had, and maybe the way the place was set up. It had a lot of wings. Once you walk through a big area and then you go into other corridors, it's like you didn't know where you were going. I wasn't impressed with their facility space mainly because it had no visibility for any of the care providers. And their open area where they have their eating, their community TV, and where they do exercises was like a parking lot of walkers. It felt very cramped and very tight. It was not something I wanted my friend in. It was not engaging; I did not like it. They need to improve the visibility of all their rooms. They need to monitor the rooms more.

Had an issue with my mother's unit flooding after a hard rain. This was on Friday over the 4th of July weekend. No maintenance person on duty. Sent emails asking for a response to the Executive Director and the maintenance Director. To this day, no response. A nurse, fortunately knew where their extractor was and I spent over two hours getting as much water as possible out of her carpets. If there becomes a mold issue, those unanswered emails won't be a good look for them.

I would rate Harmony of Brentwood a 5 on everything! The staff are so very nice and always available to answer any question we may have! They are so considerate and understanding and so patient with the "patient!" His care has exceeded expectation! He absolutely loves going down for his meals and has loved them all. He doesn't join in to any activities, but they offer a wide variety of things to do! I would highly recommend Harmony of Brentwood to anyone! We are so very pleased and so very thankful to have our loved one there!

I am one of the more active residents at Harmony and I can tell you that our weekly activity schedule offers a variety of activities for active residents as well as residents who may not be able to participate in activities that require a more physical participation. Personally, I am in the billiards club, play bridge, play blackjack, participate in bingo games, happy hour, attend the musical presentations, play poker on Saturday evenings, walk as much as possible, well, as you can see, it is easy to be as active as you desire. Harmony at Brentwood is a very active community and I like living here.

The facility is much nicer than [facility name removed]. They do have a few challenges (as many do) with keeping good quality staff. Often my family member goes a day without anyone coming into their room to check on them. If the eating facility shuts down earlier than stated each day, so you must arrive on time to have adequate time to eat. There are so many great activities if you like to participate both on site and offsite. The location is very conveniently located near the interstate and a safe community.
