Alaris in Secaucus is the worst place ever, I don’t recommend this place there is few staff from that company and the few health staff that Alaris has they are unprofessional. My mom was there in the south side and the food was cold most of the time. There is not any organization. There isn’t even a microwave to hit your parents food. There is many nurses and few CNA to clean your lovely parents. It is a disaster.
Read moreAlaris is a lovely facility. It''s clean and the staff is friendly, with smiles on their faces, and also informative. The person I visited was very happy with Alaris and felt she was receiving excellent physical therapy treatment.
Great , quiet environment, nursing staff is very helpful, hygiene is excellent!

This place located in Secaucus is high risk for permanent elders as they will deteriorate really fast while in their care. My grandmother went from taking 3 pills at admission to 26 pills when I took her out two years later. After I requested to speak with her assigned doctor, I learned that there was not doctor for 4 months and the young nurse assigned to the floor was administering her pills. I questioned her about the use of each pill and she started making out deseases that grandma did not have. They forced elders to stay on wheelchairs so they don''t fall but eventually these elders loose the capacity to walk. They are also placed on diapers to eliminate the need to go to the bathroom. When the residents on wheelchairs ask for water, they have to wait hours before they get a drink. I noticed that senior personnel was replaced with very young and inexperienced nurses possibly to save in salaries however these youngsters are intolerant and ignorant on geriatric care. Their food is always cold and pet grade. The place is actually inhumane. I give them 5 stars for clean, shiny floors though. personnel is also rude. Place is only good if you can visit your relative each day so you can bring food and monitor the nurses so good luck
