Who should I get in contact with If I have questions, concerns, issues other than nurses? I call and they are Always busy (yellow zone) who else other than themselves can give me patient info??? Comments about this facility are from walking, talking, wheel chair patients who are priority. If assisted living patients like my mom could talk this would be a very different story. To make a long story short, My mom was 2 months here. CNAs as in any other nursing homes- are too busy taking care of other patients and passing out breakfast, lunch and specially dinner that they did not reposition my mom as she was supposed to. They are priority. Her wounds got worst then ever, anemic and even -severe fungus for not being cleaned/ repositioned on time. Windsor the worst place out of four nursing she has being at.

It was extremely stressful, as a daughter who doesn''t live in Los Angeles,to find a skilled nursing facility quickly when my dad was released from the hospital. The hospital was going to send my dad to place that had bad reviews and I scrambled to find a better place. I researched and found Windsor Gardens Convalescent Home of LA and gave the admissions coordinator, Tania, a call. She called me back promptly and was so compassionate ,welcoming and helped us with all of the tangles of insurance coverage. She worked late, called my dad''s wife and helped facilitate a tour. Nothing was too much, she made herself available during a busy time and calmed everyone''s nerves to make it an easy transition. It is rare to find someone in this industry who makes you and your family feel important and doesn''t drop the ball. Ms. Tania should be commended for the tireless, caring work that she does to make families feel at ease and assist in the transition between hospital to skilled nursing. I will be forever grateful to have found a gem of a person in her!

Hello, my name is Martin Raphael, I am 45 years old &I have lived in at Windsor Cares for the last 9 months and I am learning to walk again. The staff here is great. I have no money, yet I am treated like a King. The people here do God’s work. The food is good, but it would be better if it weren’t so healthy. They insure that I make all of my Dr.’s appointments. At first I was deflated, I was hurting and difficult, but they refused to give up on me. I now have an extended family. It almost seems as though they compete to see who can treat me better. I’ve been to other places in the past, and I always left with in a month, but now I’ve found a home. 5 stars is not enough to show my appreciation.

My mom has been at Windsor Gardens for nearly 3 years from a fall and broken hip. Our family is small and very close so we were worried sick about leaving her. The staff have been AMAZING with her care! It says a lot about a facility when you call and they know you and your mom by name.Recently my mom had a roommate that would yell out multiple times of day and night and mom couldn’t rest and would call us at 3am. The next day I called and spoke to the charge nurse LOLITA and she took IMMEDIATE action and moved the roommate to a better room for her and my mom. Now we both rest well, Thank You!. Special thank you to Charge Nurse’s ALEX who is very caring and ensures my mom is eating, has her favorite jacket and in her chair, MULENEDA who knows my mom like a book and always goes the extra mile to make sure she is happy, LISA who always ensures my mom is changed at 3am or checked for pain, JESSICA for returning my calls and not only addressing any concerns, but providing solutions. JENNIFER who I recently spoke to and was very kind. Special thanks to CARLA who is always warm friendly and helpful. Kristian for being like family. MAHALA who is also kind, JOSE in laundry who ensures her clothes are found and brought to her room, SEPPHIE, who used to answer phones and personally check on her and of importantly OZZIE who ALWAYS ensures my moms phone is fixed. Thank you all and to anyone who I have spoken to and did not mention by accident please know I appreciate you!

My mom was admitted for a short time, during this time she had a multiple falls. The care was minimal based on what she experienced calling to get sited to use the bathroom multiple times, she didn''t get shower as needed. I saw her with a huge rash on her back and behind which I wasn''t notified. They wouldn''t dress her with her regular clothes unless it was mention to them. Once I picked her up her clothes was missed placed wasn''t provided at discharge. The staff was rude and careless. I had to address all these issues, the lack of communication was minimal unless I called to get information from the feedback she would give me. I was disappointed after looking for a decent place for my mom.
