I was able to attend an Open House event at West River. The staff was friendly as I entered, and guided me to meet my tour guide Reily. She was very easy to talk to along with Alyssa, whom I have met with as well. They have a lot of opportunities for those who may need their facility, but also work well with other facilities if they are better suited for your needs. They take the time to listen to what your needs may be.

If you are in need of daycare I highly recommend west river. I take my relative and he loves it. Their memory unit is very nice. The employees I have dealt with have been great. They have Several activities daily and I love that they do not sit them in front of a tv, but encourage socialization. Activities are well thought out, food great (they have a chef) and Friday outings are fun. This facility is convenient to the west side, located at Lloyd expressway and university parkway. My only wish is that my in laws could afford more hours there. Hoping to live there full time. Anyone dealing with a family member with dementia and needing a break, this is a great option. Can go anytime and any day up to 10 hours maximum daily.

Our mom went in for therapy after back surgery. They let her sit there from 3pm on a Wed. to 7pm the next day with no pain meds, if I hadn''t been there she wouldn''t have gotten a thing to eat and they never even tried to start her therapy. She ended up in the hospital with fluid in her lung. I would rather her be in a ditch with a blanket than there ever again. And their Director of Nurses was the most rude person I have ever meant. Terrible management, directors, managers, office folk didn’t know my mothers name when she had been there for months. Feel terrible for ever putting her through that. Make the right decision.
