This is my husband’s Google account, because I don’t have one. My mother was admitted to River Pointe for rehab from a fall. No broken bones, just muscle pain and she was there approximately two weeks when she was rehabbing and was advised to lift her head which was impossible because she was severely kyphotic. She was using an arm bike that was not affixed to the table, she was evidently out of reach of the therapist when the bike fell and slid down her shin, resulting in a smaller wound and a much deeper wound. She battled cellulitis until she was released. She was intermittently prescribed antibiotics for four months until she was readmitted to the hospital. The wound never fully healed. My advice. Be very aware of the care of your loved one. Did I mention that I wasn’t notified of this incident? It also appears (not absolutely certain) that I have been blocked from their Facebook page, apparently for negative remarks I posted (they removed them immediately) Not a great case for transparency. BEWARE!!!!!! Kenya Wade

River pointe started as a nice place for my grandfather''s rehab. That quickly changed. They had a covid outbreak, and despite the CDC recommendations they released him with Covid, which they only checked him for upon request. They released him and neglected to give back his medications, and though we were told we could come get them, this morning they lied and said they didn''t have them. This culminated in a nurse bringing him the medications, going to hand him them, then jerking them back and saying he had to sign something to even get his meds. She then ran away, yelling "I''m calling 911!" Which did nothing but waste the EPDs time, as nothing wrong on my grandfather''s end or families end was done. Loved how they accused us of stealing his pills when they had them all along.

My Mother has Primary Progressive Aphasia. She is unable to speak or walk. On her first full day I found her in bed in her pajamas at 5pm. I informed the staff that she was to be out of bed and dressed every morning and in the recliner in her room unless she was ill. When I arrived the second day at 5pm the door to her room was CLOSED. She was dressed but still in bed. When I pulled back her covers I found that they had changed her diaper and left her pants down around her ankles. They left her pants around her ankles, through the sheets over her, CLOSED the door and walked away! I rarely saw anyone at the station on the second floor. In fact, there seemed to be almost no staff anywhere, except in the kitchen. If you''re family member is unable to care for themselves DO NOT place them here. They can not even treat those in their care with basic human decancy.
