For the cost you are getting excellent care and excellent service. I would recommend this community to anyone who may be looking for care for an elderly individual. They have activities like crafts, volleyball with the residents, and even a wine tasting festival. As a memory care facility the security is good, the doors are locked and they make you show proof of who you are I feel very comfortable with my loved one here.

Everything about our experience with the Villagio was beyond impressive. I moved my mom from another assisted living facility to Villagio shortly before the COVID lockdown. All the staff are first rate and the facility is beautiful. Far superior to where she had been and at a substantially lower cost. The compassion and care that was shown my mom during her stay at Villagio still moves me even after her passing. They handled COVID restrictions professionally and were exceptionally diligent in providing opportunities for her to stay connected to her family. When my mom injured herself and was transferred to a rehabilitation center that was extremely difficult to deal with, the staff at Villagio advocated strongly on her behalf. I was greatly relieved when she was back safe, loved and well cared for at Villagio. I would especially like to recognize their activity manager - Jenn. My mom loved her and Jenn made her feel safe and loved during a time when my mom was confused and scared and separated from her family. Her attentiveness brought great comfort to our whole family and I will be eternally grateful for everything she did for us. I could go on and on about everyone at this place, from Marlene in sales to Crystal at the front desk - everybody was top notch! Highest possible rating!

Family’s - please do not admit your loved one at this facility. The experience our family had when my father, who has Alzheimer’s, was admitted was horrible. The marketing person is good at her job and sold us so well up front but once my dad got into the facility for respite care, everything went downhill quickly. He was out of medicine for two days in a row without any notification to family or doctors. He was allowed to sleep on the floor in other residents rooms, which was told to us directly from the caretakers. He was served meat that was gray and other foods that are far from nutritious (he got a grilled cheese and French fries for Christmas). It took far too long to get updates on his well-being from the administrative staff. We were told that even with covid restrictions, my dad would be engaged in daily activities...so far from the truth. All the residents are left to sit in front of a tv the whole day. My dad wanders at night and instead of the staff redirecting him, they let him stay up for hours at a time, even joining him to watch tv...this was again told to us by the staff directly, like it was acceptable. If you’re up to date on Alzheimer’s findings, you know that each resident needs a care plan and a routine in order to best meet their needs and avoid any adverse behaviors. They don’t need someone to watch movies with in the middle of the night. To say that we are disappointed with our experience at The Villagio is a huge understatement and I would never, ever recommend this place to anyone. Luckily my dad was only there for a short period of time and since has moved into a different facility. Also, please make note that a lot of the five star reviews are left from staff that currently work at Villagio - from a marketing perspective, this is highly unprofessional and should be seen as another red flag. **Update as 1/19/21 - the Regional Director who responded to my initial review still has yet to personally reach out. We have never received an explanation or apology. Please take this and all the above information into serious consideration before admitting your loved one at The Villagio.

I have had two loved ones in this facility. My husband was placed into the facility when it first opened and lived there until he passed away from COVID in October 2020. Most recently, we placed my dad in the facility for his memory issues. I have many things to say about Villagio and the people who have cared for my loved ones. The facility is clean clean. It has a nice warm feeling to it, with many communal areas for residents and guests to sit at and socialize. The dining room is wiped down and mopped after every meal. The rooms are pretty, with clean, like new bathrooms, paint and carpet. The people that work at Villagio are even better. Because of the length of time I have been associated with Villagio, I have gotten to know many staff members. They are kind and really want the best for the residents. They interact positively with the residents. My dad, who is a hard man to please and did not want to go to memory care, has told me numerous times how nice everyone is and how they "really care about us." The current Director, Carissa, is receptive to our concerns and has great knowledge about Dementia/Alzheimers patients. I rely on her to help our family navigate this very tough time. Carissa has assembled an amazing team of professionals around her! They care; they get to know the residents and what their individual needs are. This means the most when you have to put someone in a memory care! I KNOW my father is in great hands and I do not have to worry about anything regarding his care. When COVID hit, we could not see my husband except through Face time and during the summer, through the fence at Villagio. It was horrible but it was the world at the time! My husband stated that he never felt lonesome or afraid because the Villagio staff had become his family. When he passed away, the Villagio staff were there. They called us and cared for us for months to come. When we realized my dad needed memory care, Villagio was the ONLY place I called. This is a place that cares and loves the important people in my life. There is no other choice! I could not be happier.
