VCC announced they were closed their doors permanently in September 2021, and had moved out all of the remaining residents by the end of December. It had existed in one iteration or another since being established in the late 1920''s, and now we have no place for our seniors to go that is ON the island. Imagine living here all your life, wanting to stay in your community, where your friends are, your place of worship, etc. and not even have an option to do so. This is a VERY sad turn of events for our community.

This community was just remodeled and it looks great! Keep up the good work VCC.

Also kept in the dark as to when Medicare coverage would be used up. Had to hire an attorney to get a large refund that was due to my parents. Two thumbs down to the VCC business manager.

This is a very unprofessional facility and I would never suggest putting a loved one here. They racked up a bill on my Father by giving his bill to him instead of sending it to his POA. He is incapable of handling his own finances, and they also (without notice) evicted him while he was hospitalized. We have found a better facility for him and we are glad that he is out of VCC, he was very unhappy there and had a difficult stay. The way this was handled deserves 0 stars and their staff should be ashamed.
