The one star isn''t for the residents. I love the residents with all of my heart. I was a server. I worked my butt off to make sure they were fed and happy. I wanted them to be able to order basically anything we had and could make. I loved the residents so much that they had family members tell me their mother or father loved and appreciated me there. There are people there that can''t eat meat. Not that they don''t like it, BUT THEY CANT EAT MEAT. So I would go to the kitchen and be told, "if you give these people an inch they''ll take a mile." These people aren''t running a mile. It''s more like a 40 yard dash. It pained me and still pains me to have quit. There was a reason. People should be able to order scrambled eggs at any time they want. These people are dying and earned the respect of being able to order anything they want within reason. I''ll step off of my soap box now but if anyone has a parent they want me to take care of I will and with compassion and due diligence.
Read moreI toured El Dorado West. The people were nice. The place was clean. I visited once before, and they had a fitness area, a television room, a movie room, and a gathering room. The staff was very nice. They have a gym, too.
I liked El Dorado West. It was very clean, and the people were very friendly. The lady who gave the tour was very helpful and very friendly. They have a van that takes people to appointments and a lot of activities. Overall, I just generally thought it looked like a good place.
