She didn't like that the front doors were locked and you had to be buzzed in. It felt like a prison to her, and it wasn't as lively of a community. There weren't as many people. The rooms were HUGE though. We loved that's

My father-in-law will be moving here. They were just very nice and helpful. The residents were out in all the community areas, and my father-in-law is a very social man so that just seemed like the perfect fit. The rooms were marvelous. We were so impressed. The rooms are very well laid out. It's nice because they have a studio apartment that's furnished for a model, so you can see how your furniture would fit in, which was very helpful. They showed us a one-bedroom apartment, which I think we could have moved our family of five into. My father-in-law is going with a very nice-sized studio apartment. Everything was sparkling clean, with all the safety features. They have a resident doctor. They have a bistro area where they have activities. You can go any time, and there's coffee. They have a common area and an activity room area where there's a big TV, movies, and a couch. There were big, long tables where they had crafts set up, and then a kitchen area where they had coffee and snacks. And then downstairs, there was another smaller dining area where people were playing cards. In the front room, there's a fireplace, couches, and furniture. There are people out there visiting as well.

I toured this facility and it was beautiful! Very clean place. Staff was wonderful and very understanding. They followed up with me/called me with great feedback and answers to questions I hadn't even asked yet. Ultimately, I felt the facility was too large for my loved one and not a great fit. But ...
