The abuse that the poor staff receives from the residents in this place is absolutely disgusting. I worked here in the 90s and my experience was very good. The administration can care less about the veterans. They first accepted my father then decided to turn him down. All because he was in the ER a few months ago in a lot of pain, under medication and he asked them to put him out of his misery. I''ve said that when I''m in a great deal of pain. This is their cheap excuse to refuse a veteran proper medical care. If he was actually suicidal, he would have been on suicide watch . Since then, he has lived alone for 4 months at a retirement home. He has dementia and repeated the way my mother died. These administrators are not doctors and have no idea what is best, nor do they take a doctor''s oath to do no harm. I will report them to friends in Washington. They just don''t want to accept a 90 year old man with probably less than a year to live.
