Lots of promises but not a lot of positive outcomes. They promise lots of activities for your loved one, clean rooms and laundry done but be prepared to spend a lot of time fighting to get any of it done and never expect any follow up from management or corporate. Even though they post an activity calendar - management offers literally nothing or very little. The recreational employee also drives the bus for doctors appts so he has very little time for activities. Sent numerous emails and voicemails - no response at all about dirty room, dirty laundry, trash not taken out, etc.... Executive Director Campbell is onsite but good luck ever speaking to her - she could not careless about your family member. Save your money and keep looking. You''ll be disappointed if you choose the Willows. It was very stressful for us as kids of a resident and we spent a massive amount of time trying to handle issues with little to no resolution. We chose to move our Mom but hopefully this will save another family loss of funds, time and stress. It was a terrible situation that I hope no one has to experience.

I am distressed that our friend in assisted living (paying for assisted living) is not provided with basic needs like toilet paper. When she does not feel strong, her meals as they are are delivered to her room rather than someone volunteering to wheel her to the dining room. She is a sociable person and has no medical followup care either. We live too far away but when visiting her we were made aware of these deficiencies. How can someone who is so mobility impaired be expected to shop for toilet paper?

The staff is inadequate often seen sitting around on their phones. Mom is not given proper hygiene care to include showers, teeth brushing or diaper changes sometimes for days. Mom’s clothes are not changed everyday and her living space is not cleaned weekly. I often do these tasks myself. I also have tracked down staff multiple times to ask about medication not being given properly and most of the time staff cannot answer why. Mom has been admitted to the hospital twice in 6 weeks for UTI which occurred from sitting in a wet diaper. The food is terrible , low cost pasta and rice dishes. The food staff personal with the exception of a few move slowly and hide in the kitchen not attending the resident needs. Often, 20 minutes passes before staff come to the table to help the residents. Often, it takes another 20 minutes to receive their meal. I know all this because I visited my Mom everyday. I know this because I have worked in the Medical field for 40 years. I am researching other facilities to move her out.

My mom was at the Willows for 4.5 years. 3 of those years in memory care. She received excellent care for the first 2.5 years and then came the Covid 19 lockdowns. I have no idea what the care was like when we couldn’t go in. They changed ownership during that time. When we were allowed back in they were understaffed as many places were. Many activities were stopped because of the staffing issues. At that time it was common to only find 1 staff member for 12-14 memory care residents. Now there is generally 2 staff members but the activities are still lacking. Residents are left to sit in front of the tv all day with very little interaction except for meal times and changing times. They also remodeled and took half of the memory care social area to turn into independent living apartments and their social area. This cost the memory care people an additional $500 per month. They are now one of the highest in cost. Also anything you purchase to help your loved one has a very high risk of disappearing. Sometimes it can be found but not usually. There clothing will get mixed up with other residents also even though they are supposed to wash them separately. I moved my mom to a care home with only 4 residents. She is doing much better now and gets a lot more one on one interaction.
Read moreI visited The Willows. It seemed to be a delightful place. Everyone was friendly and helpful, and it looked like the dining room was pleasant. There were not a lot of activities. They had a pool table and a very small gym. There were some people playing cards.

We loved The Willows. The tour we had was just excellent, from the person behind the desk to the marketing director. You get a very good first impression when you walk in there. They've recently updated the place. We sat there with the marketing director and talked about my son's needs. She showed us an efficiency, which we thought would be just perfect. She offered to show us more. We couldn't give her more than an A-plus and for the facility. The studio we saw was light and airy with a nice window. It had a large bathroom that was very accessible and a little microwave in the corner. It was very, very pleasant. They do music two and three times a week, which would be incredible. The chef was there as we walked past the dining room (the dining room was also light, airy, and pleasant). He came out and offered more information about the meals. He said that if you don't like what's on the menu, they could always provide something else for you. You could choose whatever you want for breakfast and most of the other meals for the day had two choices.
