They do not care about their memory care patients. Of they aren''t perfect, they evict you!
This place memory care is amazing always engaged in activities with the residents. Very clean and smells wonderful.

This company is not a good place to work. The whole environment is polluted with bad employees, manager''s and nurses. There''s no love, unity or respect over there. And they are very racist especially the Carebians who works there. There''s a staff over there called Henrieta who likes to fight with all the staff there. They fight with you so you can quit the job and they''ll end up doing it as overtime. Shifts gets changed without informing you and when you talk about it it becomes an issue. Everybody sees you as an enemy because you''re Vocal. Will never recommend anyone there.

We removed mom from Veraden yesterday . We had placed her in memory care to receive extra support, she’s a 94 year old dementia victim. We began to find her dirty and sitting in her own filth. She says that no one there cares if she lives or dies. There are no pendants the residents can ring if they fall or need help. The staff sates that she is difficult and won’t always let them change or bathe her. I understand. I also know that with dementia victims you take other approaches to manage this condition. We approached Patty James , the memory care director, and she said “there’s nothing I can do, this is assisted Living”. Yet the fees and her care plan say otherwise, that this is a memory care facility. All the staff in pictures in this review are of people who are no longer at Veraden, a revolving door of staff. It’s clearly not a safe place for a vulnerable old person. I had meetings and emails with Phillip Miller, no steps to resolve or support. We simply had to take the risk and move her, although that’s not advised with a dementia victim. We feel she’s much safer now. In response to your suggestion , I had already spoken to the VP Cindy Filpansick at Sagora and reviewed our frustration with Veraden. She stated it is not a licensed Memory Care, contrary to expectations when we moved mom to the facility. I described rude behavior by Patty James but she suggested that wasn’t an issue, that it was just an opinion of disgruntled staff. I had no confidence she planned to seek resolution . Mom continues to improve in another facility. It’s like night and day to have her in a quality memory care. We’re spreading the word so others don’t have the same struggle

Their Director of nursing is definitely the weak link. She has lost doctors orders, given the wrong medication or the wrong dosage on several occasions and is less than a truthful person. The food is well prepared but of cheap and low cost ingredients, ie the roast beef is processed, not freshly prepared, etc. However, the Activities Director is amazing. There are a multitude of activities/events each day and they cover a wide range of interests. I wish my Mom would take advantage of the many fun things available to her.

My mom has moved into The Veraden. We have chosen them because they had transportation and a vacancy, and they also take dialysis patients. It's a nice and pristine facility. The facilities are clean and brand-new looking. It looks like a luxury hotel. They have an outside area that is landscaped nicely and well-maintained. The nurses that care for my mom are doing a good job, but we're not impressed with the leadership so far. They have the best activity list of all that we saw. There's always something going on. There are concerts, bingo, board games, outings, restaurant visits, and shopping trips. They do a lot. However, the hallways are so long, and my mom's room is so far away from everything, that it's difficult for her to get to the dining room and stuff like that.
