I can’t speak about cleanliness, nor the care provided but I can say something about their financial ethics. In August, we were looking for a place for our sister and she liked this facility. We were told that if we gave them a deposit of $3,000, she would be given first right of refusal if someone else came along and wanted that unit too. We were told several times that if our sister could not take the unit, that we would receive a full refund of the $3,000 within 60 days. She was unable to take the unit and management was notified and we ask for the refund. After numerous phone calls, texts and finally a complaint filed with BBB, the money was refunded. But it took 93 days. So be aware.

When I was talking to the ladies, they said they were getting the garden started. The dining area was excellent. It was like a restaurant. They have a calendar full of activities and they were color coded.

When I was at The Retreat at Fishersville, I asked what if our money runs out and what if our long-term care insurance runs out. Do they accept Medicaid? They do not. The person who did the tour was excellent, answered all kinds of questions, and was very knowledgeable. I appreciated the tour. They were very nice. I would be very comfortable there. The rooms were sufficient for the stage that I would be in if I were going there. All of the rooms I visited had kitchenettes. They had places where you could go outside and it was an attractive place. They said I could make an appointment to come back for a meal. There were facilities where they had activities. They had a place where they could go to see movies. They had a little commissary where they could go to get snacks and just have coffee together. They had an exercise room, and they go on field trips.
