Elite ALF at Cape Coral was a step up compared to the other place I toured. The dining area was great. They had a great courtyard, a great atmosphere, and great staff. They had a beauty/barber shop and a podiatrist, and they took the residents on trips and outings quite often. The staff just went above and beyond as far as reaching out to me, calling me back, following up, and making herself available. She was knowledgeable and comfortable with what she did. I did read over the menu schedule and it looked very adequate. It just hit all the points that I was looking for.

Our tour at The Opal at Cape Coral was excellent. Rachel was extremely informative, helpful, and very polite. She gave us all the information that we needed to make a decision. The room was OK, but it kind of reminded me of a hospital room with the bathroom located inside. It was OK. I was really happy with the staff and the common areas. They have an open menu with regular food items, but I did not have an opportunity to taste the food. They had a courtyard outside adjacent to the eating area where they could go outside. It was down near the main lobby, so it was very open. However, it had quite a nursing home feel or a hospital feel, so that's the only thing. It didn't feel like an apartment building or anything like that. There were a lot of people in a small area, so they probably need more room.

This facility offers a very clean, caring environment for your loved in either assisted living or memory care. Don't let the outside facade fool you. The new Executive Director prides herself in requiring a team environment amongst the staff. She follows thru and communicates very effectively with families. The rooms are large and are being renovated. All of the staff that I encountered were always very helpful and did what needed to be done in a very living manner.

Read moreMy loved one lived here for quite some time. Cleanliness was ok, but communication with the family was amazing. I got updates on my loved one frequently, for big things and little things. I can't say enough good about the communication. The staff was really good, both nurses and administration.
