There were bugs in my mother’s room. The food was standard institution food or worse. The current Executive Director is terrible. The day my mother died at the facility, the Director never came out of her office or offered an condolence as she watched us remove personal belongings

This place is truly beautiful! I can't even begin to tell you how greatful I am for this place. Mom was moved from another locked down facility to this place. Not only is it open to the residents, there is a full day of activities the residents can participate in if they want. This place is only for those with Alzheimer's or Dementia. If you've tried other places and it's been unsuccessful, then here is your place! Mom is thriving here and just loving it. It's a big family! There's a movie theatre, tavern, and general store. Ice cream shop and just beautiful private rooms. 24 /7 care, nurses on staff. They can do on the spot tours. Come see this place for yourself!
Read moreI visited recently and was impressed with the dementia town where the residents all seemed happy and engaged. I was able to get an ice cream from the bistro on my tour. You have to see this place to believe it. Wow!

I like the fact that the residents can walk around, and yet I know that they're still safe (as opposed to staying in one single area). They also have access to outdoors. So they're not confined to one section. Other places I looked at there was just one floor for memory care, for instance. The staff have all been nice. I know they had some turnaround there, but that's not been too much of an issue. Some things got overlooked with the change in staff but we got everything straightened out. I was pleased that during Covid closures they were sending photos of our loved one in various activities, painting, puzzles, outdoor activities, etc. And now we're able to go visit.
