My husband is at The June. We chose it because it's close to my house. The facilities and amenities are nice. The staff is nice. They could probably do better as far as helping the residents. I understand that they don't get paid a lot, so you get what you pay for. I'm sure it's like that wherever you go. The food is okay. My husband plays bingo.

I would would tell you to find another solution other than putting your loved one at the June. After moving our mother here for more than a year…from another abysmal experience at another Aventine property, we cannot move her fast enough to a facility that has trained and compassionate caregivers....

After moving our mother here for more than a year…from another abysmal experience at another Aventine property, we cannot move her fast enough to a facility that has trained and compassionate caregivers. We received many promises that the problems from the other property would not reoccur… however they have constantly given the excuse of “reorganizing”. The food is awful, call buttons go unanswered, few caregivers are properly trained, and residents are treated like toddlers. We receive no less than 10 calls a week from her relaying horrors of experiences. Our mother is physically challenged but not mentally impaired, yet simple things such as clothing or food choices are denied - taking away the dignity of the few decisions she still has. Their neglect resulted in an ER visit when she was not put to bed and tried to get there herself. The facility is nice, but the focus is completely on making it look inviting while ignoring compassionate care. Cannot say goodbye soon enough.

They have large dining areas. They had a more secluded setting for memory care. They had areas where they were interactive with the television and areas for large and small groups. And then I saw somebody working in the garden. The outdoor spaces were nice and large. The facility was very nice.

All of the staff have been very very helpful. The quality of care is great and they check on him a lot and manage his medications. We have eaten here with him and the food is very good. They try to accommodate what he likes as well. We do have our loved one in hospice and that has turned out to be v...

We have been impressed and we would recommend The June to other families looking.
