We reserved a studio for our mother and was asked to pay 5700.00 plus dollars to reserve her place. Two days later our mother had a stroke and passed away. Our mother never crossed the threshold of Landon Ridge. She never even had the chance to visit the facility. When my wife called to speak to the Manager about the scenario, he said that giving a refund of 5700 plus dollars was not possible and it was out of his hands that they were corporate owned and refused to give the refund. I''m signing this one. I have no hesitation in this matter. I have no idea what type of care is administered under the roof of this establishment so i cannot and will not speak to it... but i can speak to the audacity of management to not refund an unnecessary deposit. According to their contract to reserve a room only $500.00 was necessary. So why did this manager demand 5700.00? Coach Bryan Kensky AF&AM For HOWELL I will be glad to remove this when this scenario is brought to our satisfaction. Thank you.

Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Assisted Living and Memory Care was nice. They had smoking out by the dog park and there's a $1,000 pet deposit. Their cost seemed to be a bit higher than average, but it was a very nice place and very well kept. The people I talked with there were very nice. They did a good job and answered my questions well. The rooms were very nicely laid out. They have the studio apartments and one bedrooms that I saw. They certainly have a lot of other amenities and activities for the people.

Here at Landon Ridge Alamo Ranch Independent Living, we are fortunate to have a very professional Activities Director, Brittanie Gathright who has created a staff who all share the same enthusiasm for an activities program and possess a love for the elderly. They work with volunteers on the Lifestyles Committee and a great variety of people to ensure that residents are having the most positive experience possible. In addition to planning a printed monthly calendar 60 days in advance, there is an assurance that adequate setup, supplies, equipment, and cleanup are available for each of the 175 to 200 events that appear on our monthly calendar. Brittanie is resourceful and goes above and beyond when the need arises. Administrative tasks such as budgeting and maintaining our “Corner Store on the Second Floor”, and coordinating transportation for residents'' shopping, and medical appointments. There is an ATM unit just outside of the office door. She serves as a representative on Sagora’s Lifestyle Committee which enhances programming and activities nationwide. For six years, Brittanie has developed the activities and challenges that enrich residents'' lives with physical and cognitive exercise and socialization. We just completed our Senior Olympics events where again, suggestions from staff and residents have been heard and implemented making this year''s Senior Olympics, to quote a resident, “This year''s Senior Olympics have been the most fun ever.” Brittanie and her staff have the marketing skills that promote these programs and services making the activities desirable for new and existing residents, residents with Independent Living special needs, and treating each participant as a special person. Her ready smile is an inspiration when meeting her.
